Hotel Monterrey

Location perfect between Getsemani and historical center. Air conditioning in the room was perfect.

Mosquitos.. both by the pool and in the breakfast restaurant. Made the use of the pool area very short. Breakfast average.

The hotel is basically nice. The room itself was good, spacious and light with a balcony. Staff did their best considering the situation…..mostly.

Currently extensive construction and road work being conducted. Loud music until 3am. During the day consistent pneumatic drilling and work vehicles reverse warnings and general building noise. On the roof terrace workers on scaffolding on adjacent buildings. Not very comfortable. I did see that rooms on a higher floor were available which were not so noisy. Why allocate noisy rooms when others are available? As a single traveler it does seem sometimes you get a rough deal.

Construction underway to extend hotel

heavy construction around the area which is out of control of the property. but it is located right on the town center where there is major traffic including the party buses. so it is quite loud.

Staff were very helpful and friendly. Just outside city wall and surrounding streets were lively with shops and cafes

Location is great just outside the gated old town. Room is very small but ok.

Location! This hotel has a front seat to the clock tower and the big square in front of it.

Nice hotel in the heart of the city within walking distance of pretty much everything. Only complaint would be the construction going on outside, but aside from that everything was great !
