Hotel Francis

The staff were great but the owner gave me and my family of 4 the dirtiest look the whole weekend. She would look at us in a bad way and would not take her eyes off of us like she wanted to do something to us. During this stay I just lost my mom and this is how you treat your guest. If you are African American I would think twice about going there because she doesn’t want people like us staying there. She only want you to work for her which is the impression she’s giving. She made me and my family feel very uncomfortable and I worry a lot about others of my race that’s comes in contact with her. To her staff, please please be careful and safe working under her. I would never bring my family or my children to stay around there again. Kids definitely doesn’t deserve to see the ignorance that she puts out there.

No towel rack holes in the wall. No drain stopper in sink no wash rags

Room felt dirty. Protruding metal bed frame that caused injury to lower leg

Under new management, under construction , dirty , horrible rooms , inadequate staff , we did not stay. I would advise not recommending this hotel .

We got a room here due to traveling to a dr visit in Baton Rouge and the best western being full. First sight wasn’t very impressive in lounge. Looked like they yanked some old living room furniture from an old place and threw it in there. Stayed in 242. It had gnats, tiny roaches, fuzzy tv and a hairy bathroom floor. The next morning I was sitting in bed waiting for my husband to come back from breakfast when a man came barging into our room! Upon checking out, we informed the manager and owner of all the issues only to be met with aggravation. Owner said rooms had been sprayed and they had no men that worked there. Once I argued back with and described him, they said ’oh, he ALWAYS knocks’. I said oh no he doesn’t!!! NEVER again! Oh, NO elevator and it’s 2 floors.

Everything was quiet and clean. Bunch of remodeling going on, which is understandable for a new owner.

My room was infested with gnats!!! I was moved to another room that had gnats but not as many. No carts with all my stuff was terrible!!!!!! Staff was nice and trued to help, but they were hardly at the counter to offer assistance. Someone should be at the front at all times. I will never stay here again!!!! No discount was even given for the infestation of gnats. I had to make my own insect repellent with apple cider vinegar which was also frustrating and uncalled for!!! The mades didn't clean the room bc it had someone's shirt in the room and food in the fridge just nasty and lazy of them!!!!

No hot water

This place is truly a hidden gem worth discovering! Nestled away from the bustling highway and off the beaten path, it offers a unique sense of privacy and tranquility that can be hard to find. Despite undergoing renovations, which will only enhance its charm, my stay here was nothing short of delightful. The atmosphere is serene, making it the perfect getaway. Trust me, if you're looking for an escape that combines comfort with an element of surprise, this destination is simply unmissable!

This is a decent place to stay; dated but friendly and clean. They offer a dinner service which is nice and the breakfast is very good. It didn't appear that there was any housekeeping available during a 3 day stay. Nice staff and a convenient place to stay.
