Premier Hotel Lybid

Always friendly and professional. Price is right for being in the center of Kyiv. Rooms clean and comfortable - always. Some dated and others have been upgraded. Can't go wrong with this hotel. The Premier investment/management group has done a wonderful job with all their properties. I have been staying at this hotel on and off over 10 years. Big Changes.

Great but very small rooms and WC

I was pleased with the hotel.It was well located not far from the Metro.Rooms were a good size and well maintained.

Check in was an issue since resolved with a message from guest services manager. The hotel is from the Soviet era and refurbished after independence probably in the last 20 years. The bed in my first room was tiny, and the room temperature very hot. On asking about the temperature, I was told to open the window.....on the 17th floor! Second night I was in a new room with a larger bed, but hardly a double. The bathroom was very small with a barely adequate shower. Water in the shower ran cool when the guest in the next room were in their shower. The room was basic with very thin carpet, municipal type furniture and curtains that did not cover the whole window, so light pollution at night. Great views though! Breakfast was a good selection but almost everything was cold or luke warm at best. A 7:00 - 11:00 am window is a long time for breakfast and I imagine the kitchen prepared the foods for the 07:00 start and hoped for the best. During the evenings we had a couple of drinks in the bar, service was very poor, unfriendly and unwelcoming. No surprise we were the only customers! However, the location was great, ordering taxis with local price worked well and room rate was very low. In summary, I'd rather pay an extra £7-10 and have a better experience.

In room 805 with view over Main Street and rooftops. Theatre across road. 15 minute walk to main line station with train to KBP airport Buffet breakfast with cold and hot options.

This hotel delivers a similar experience you would expect at a basic 3 star hotel in the USA or Western Europe. 24 hour desk, proper lobby area, options of room service, English speaking receptionists, etc. This hotel is a good go between that, while not as updated and chic as the more expensive international chains, Lybid was definitely more user-friendly than the ubiquitous “aparthotels” that usually lack customer service and a functional front desk. Location is not super close to any metro station; about a ten minute walk to either University station or the Vokzalna train station. Still not a bad location, lots of food nearby.

I good place to stay, for a fair price. Highly recommended.

A decent price for a fairly decent hotel hotel, good access to the city centre, with good facilities around

The hotel has come a very long way since the soviet era when it was built and the famous Intourist service which = horrible. The rooms have evolving in quality over the past 10 years and continually getting better. This stay I was moved into the newly renovated 7th floor. The room was amazing, stylish and comfortable. I wish the Hotel Lybid the best in their endeavors in developing the Premier Brand at all their properties.
