Relais Castel Bigozzi

We stayed at Castel Bigozzi for 4 nights and absolutely loved it! Our room was rustic and full of character yet clean and comfortable with stunning views from our balcony. The grounds and pool area were beautiful and well maintained and it's such a peaceful spot for a rural getaway.

Bigozzi is a beautiful hotel off the beaten track. It may be in the small town of Strove but it's very central to seeing plenty of other places without staying in the hustle and bustle of big places. Pisa, Florence and Siena are all within travelling distance and are definitely worth seeing.

IT was hard to find at first but is really a very nice location. We used it as a central location to visit Siena, Voltara and San Giman--- . Great service and quiet near a small village with a coop close for some small items to chew on. loved it

We chose the hotel because of the view and to really feel in Tuscany, and that is exactly what we got. It is a very broad space, with a main building and some other minor ones as the swimming pool, breakfast room and little skylight spots to sit and relax. There is a very nice garden surrounding the whole estate and the outstanding view of Tuscany typical landscapes. Breakfast was excelent and the lady in charge of it was Brazilian, just like us, and gave always a nice welcome and tips on the region. The room was really good, with a living room and a sink with a little fridge, all separated from the main bedroom. And the view from it was just awesome. The staff was always willing to help, lending silverware, glasses, fixing our sink very fast when we had a problem and fixing a taxi for our friends.

Castel Bigozzi is located on top of a hill, very quiet location, very friendly staff and a great breakfast buffet. If you are lucky to stay there around mid October, you might be able to experience the morning fog which covered the valley below, but several other hills with houses on top stuck out of the fog. This is a beautiful park-like property with dozens of olive trees - the perfect place to take walks! The hotel offers sauna and spa (massage). Our room was lovely to look at with blue wooden inside shutters at the bedroom window, balcony door and bathroom window. The shower had wooden planks, no tiles on which you could slide. I enjoyed that. The only thing negative was the bed. It was a twin bed and my mattress did lean onto the frame. Fortunately my husband was able to push the mattress frame back under the frame and the second night was very comfortable. Hopefully we can return one day. This is the most romantic hotel among the 6 romantic hotels that we stayed on our 10 day trip to Northern Italy. Unforgettable!

The hotel is located in a beautiful, quiet location overlooking the Tuscan hills. The suite was very nice and even had a loft with a magnificent view of the area. The grounds were beautiful and there was plenty to see in the area. You do need a car to get around since the locate is quit remote and Siena / Florence are about an hours drive through beautiful countryside however. Only problem we had was a bit of a fuss over the breakfast being included with the price. They verified and corrected their mistake. Would go back again however.

You must have a "maquina" car, to stay here, it is situated far away from any public transport, but if you are driving through Tuscany/Chianti, you can have a great stay here, right on the middle between Monterrigioni and S.Gimignano, the whole region will be accessible. The hotel is very nice, its situated in an old estate and is nicely done overall, with modern amenities and a great breakfast, Steffano makes the best Capuchino.

Just spectacular. Provided a true unique country expeience.

The view from the hotel is fantastic. Clean, lovely place. Would stay here again. An on-site restaurant for dinner as well as breakfast would be a great addition, but space might make this difficult. Recommended for couples and families.

A friendly, comfortable hotel in an amazing location. Excellent breakfast and lovely outdoor pool with panoramic views.
