Royal South Beach Hotel

They are working on improving the interior look of the hotel, which will help. But it was fine, and the location is great.

You get what you pay for. We arrived early and were fortunate that the hotel staff had a room ready and graciously let us in early. We were expecting to just drop our bags off and return later. This was great as it got us started exploring the neighborhood early and we found out how close it was to the beach. I had thought about an upgrade to a closer beach hotel but decided against it. The walk was short enough. There are tons of hotel bars you can visit which gives you the Ocean Dr. experience. The room felt more like an Airbnb with the basic, table, dresser, closet, chairs, microwave, sink, mini-fridge, hairdryer, body mirror, tiny TV, and a very powerful AC. The sheets were all very clean. The window did not appear to open. This bathroom did have older tile floors and older shower, all towels were clean. It could use some renovation - but then the cost would be more - it was basic and that's what we knew we were getting. The solarium (sun deck) has chairs, didn't spend any time as there is nothing going on like on Ocean Dr. The housekeepers were loud though and we heard them through our door. I did notice some guests in the lobby complaining about music from the adjacent bar. I was a little concerned when we got it but in our room it was quiet and we didn't hear anything. We were on the north side of the building. Interior did look a little dated but we didn't really spend any time inside just sleeping and showering basically so we were satisfied.

No staff,no customer service ,terrible rooms ,rooms shouldn’t be $30 or more than that.

Horrible, unkempt dump. Had to check out early and move, even forfeiting 3 days paid. This still produced an argument from the hotel staff. (Not the first either) As if he took pleasure in harassing us. I should have done a “charge back” and then cancelled my card. Rudeness was unprecedented from a motel/hotel. Do your due diligence first. ANY hotel in that area is gay friendly and this dump is far from a resort. Filthy and you want to trust their mattress?? You’ve been warned. So many other places to choose from.

Room was not ready until after 430, we check in look at the room and leave. Come back at night with our bags and I can tell there is a chip under the dresser and the floor did not looked swept. A lot of cracked floor tiles needs some real updating. Hallways carpet need major replacement. Room was next to the outside patio on the 2nd for. People were outside the glass doors until 2 am sometime. Bed was uncomfortable.

I think it was today much for the night and I’m not happy with it

Our stay at the royal hotel was very pleasent - there was a patio outside right next to our room - Manuel was a really helpful and nice staff member! The location is right in the middle of South Beach miami and only 5 minutes to the beach! Would recommend this place for sure!

Room was not ready. 2 hours late. Coffemaker did not work but there was not coffee so. They were painting and patching acted like guest were in the way...

Close to everything...just your standard room...staff was friendly

The front desk staff is great very clean friendly too
