The Derwentwater Hotel

We stayed in an apartment in the manor which were really spacious. Keswick is only a 10min walk across flat ground so the location was perfect. Good value for money and plenty of free parking. Would highly recommend staying here.

We felt check out at 10am was a bit early. This could be a bit later as our room wasn't ready until 4pm so there should be no rush to check out for the next person coming.

Room was clean. we did not eat at the Hotel so cannot comment on the Food. Staff were competent.

The Hotel was charging residents £6 per night to use the car park. The television was not working, we asked at reception if someone could fix it, someone did come up when we were out, it did work for a short time but then stopped again so we gave up. We went down to the Bar at 9pm on Saturday only to be told the Bar was now closed! We Requested 2 rooms together, we ended up on different floors, despite the Hotel appearing to be half empty, we asked at reception about the rooms and were told that there were no rooms left on the same floor.

The room was spacious, warm and comfortable, there was plenty of choice at breakfast although the meal could have been warmer

QAs previous the meal wasn't hot, we had a cracked sink in the bathroom and on the one morning we stayed we had no hot water

The,location is lovely with great views .Staff are very helpful and friendly.Breakfast was great with lots of choice.

We had evening meal once, never again .Completely different experience to the lovely breakfast.To be fair the waitress did warn us about the food but ordered the roast beef anyway.It was tough as old leather ,veg was soggy and yorkshire pudding limp . I think was probably worst meal I've ever been served.
