A charming hotel with a privileged view over the Zambezi River, spacious and bright. Warm and informative reception. Spacious, clean and well-equipped rooms. Good Wi-Fi coverage. Varied and very good quality food.

Parts of the Royal Livingstone are great. The location is sublime, the welcome majestic, the food excellent, the staff generally were superb. The animals roaming the gardens were amazing. These things were all 5 star. But there were several things that were 1 star. And they were well away from a 5 star resort. The trip organisation was poor. After 4 attempts (3 with no response) we pre-booked two excursions with the hotel. Upon arrival they professed no knowledge and proceeded to try and sell them to us again. We then had emails from third party companies who had been contacted “by a friend at the hotel” trying to sell us more. The pool towels were generally torn and dirty. Very poor. The pool wasn’t overly clean. Everything at the hotel is a very expensive. For example, Livingstone airport is 20 minutes away yet they charge $150 for their taxi shuttle. Food prices are also exorbitant as is the wine. Did we enjoy it? We enjoyed the location yes. Superb. The hotel ? It’s tired. Not well managed. Living on a reputation past its sell-by date in my opinion.

Everything was exceptional. The staff genuinely understand customer service. And it is not pretend. They behave as if they are welcoming people to their own homes. The food was fantastic. What a spread for the breakfast. The location on the Zambezi River also added to the ambience And the joy of unexpectedly seeing a giraffe or two. Even the pesky monkeys were joyful

We did not stay here as the rooms are more than $1000/night. But we stopped for breakfast and it was surreal. Probably the finest buffet in Africa. We had different eggs benny with fruits, cheeses, pastries, meats, cappuccinos, fresh squeezed orange juice. Great view of the grounds and river. A small herd of zebras grazed on the lawn. We then met Bob the giraffe who wanders around too. Staff were highly professional. Food was incredible.

My wife and I travel extensively, and The Royal Livingstone Hotel stands head and shoulders above any place we’ve ever stayed. It’s more than a hotel; it’s a complete experience. The entire staff operates seamlessly to ensure you’re cared for at every moment. The facilities are truly world-class, and the concierge team is exceptional; we booked six tours through them and every single one was executed flawlessly. And the food; easily some of the best we’ve ever had. All three meals each day were prepared and presented with remarkable skill. If you're looking for a location right next to Victoria Falls, you found it!

The hotel was amazing, from the time we checked in to we left the staff who were exceptionally attentive and looked after us like I’ve never experienced, and the property WOW we didn’t expect to have Giraffes, Zebra, Springboks amd monkeys joint us at pre dinner drinks or around the pool.

Nothing to dislike.

The location is beautiful and the animals in the grounds add a lot of interest to staying at the hotel. We loved the traditional styling of the hotel and rooms. Access to the Falls is easy. The staff were very welcoming and seemed happy. Bed very comfy. Plenty of complimentary water was most welcome. Breakfast fab. We did a boat safari arranged bt the lovely travel company on site, and it was a wonderful experience. The guide on the boat knew a lot about the birds and animals. I am sorry I have forgotten his name. The picnic was fun.

Was booked with Micato Safaris for this location. Spent two nights, and we must say this place was a ten out of ten. The greeting upon arrival was very welcoming, and it got better. The room was very nice. Great views. The food both nights we stayed was excellent. The staff were extremely accommodating, both at the front desk and in the restaurant.

The most impressive hotel we have ever stayed in. World class dining, exceptional service and beautiful ambience. We could hear the hippos chatting away while sitting at the pool, and the giraffes and zebra roamed freely. Try the Boma tribal night too, it was very enjoyable. All in all, an amazing stay - 10/10
