Pueblo Bonito Mazatlan - All Inclusive

Just came back from a lovely vacation at Pueblo Bonito Mazatlan Beach. The hotel was very clean and well maintained. The food was decent, but limited. Not all of the restaurant options were available given the resort was not very busy. But this also meant we had no issues getting spots by the pool or beach. Service was excellent, and the drinks were good and they would make them however you liked it. The beach was definitely the highlight. Big and beautiful, easily accessible and the kids loved swimming in the waves. And the sunsets were incredible. There was not much for entertainment, but this isn’t something we look for in resorts. The resort is relatively close to the city, so for a few bucks you could take a ride to the old town, which is definitely worth exploring. Our stay also came with complimentary tickets to the aquarium, which was also worthwhile. The resort had a very relaxing atmosphere, which was exactly what we were looking for. Overall, we had an excellent experience and felt there was good value for what we paid.

Nice resort, older, smaller, no activities or nightlife. Pros: small, no loud activities, delish food, and I can’t emphasize this enough, THE STAFF ARE INCREDIBLE!!!!!

We really enjoyed our trip to Pueblo Bonito Mazatlan. I was a little worried when first going out because I had seen some negative reviews here, but all I can say is I have no idea why? The check in and staff during check in were awesome (there was no line at all for us). The room was beautiful, nice and clean and we had amazing views of the ocean from our balcony and then views of the pool from outside the front door. The food was the best, I think we can safely say that it is the best food we have ever had at an all inclusive. The beach was super nice, with the views of the islands off the coast, and we had drinks on the beach under the tiki umbrellas and it was just amazing. Going in December, the weather was absolutely perfect (not too hot and not too cold). Also I feel that it was definitely worth the price we paid. We will be coming back again.

Love Mazatlan and have been staying with Pueblo Bonito for many years. The nicest staff in the world from Paty at the front desk, to all the waiters. Activities are fun and Jordan as activities host is very entertaining. Ask him to do a card trick!

It was noticeable right away, no welcome cocktail, no welcome at the front desk just a curt "passports please" no eye contact or smile. The room was decent, a good size, a patio with tiny ocean view BUT no mini fridge, no water or ice bucket, a coffee maker but no coffee? This resort and it's sister at Emerald Bay are "time shares" more than we ever expected, most of the people we met had been owners there for years if not decades. We then learned that there wasn't any entertainment of any kind in the evening, no lobby bar, no piano player, not even the customary Michael Jackson impersonator. Obviously I didn't read the fine print when booking and as two 60+ women on a holiday having absolutely nothing to do after dinner unless we left the property was a huge disappointment! Sophia at the front desk arranged a room change for us after two nights and mattress toppers to soften the beds, our new location with a pool & ocean view improved our moods. The breakfast buffet was just fine with a few changes daily to some hot dishes. La Palomas as the a la carte restaurant did not open at all during our week stay, Cilantro's was mediocre at best, food off the pool menu was terrible, the Asian was good but the highlight definitely was Angelo's Italian where we ate 4/7 nights. The servers in all venues where excellent, friendly and attentive especially in Angelo's, the breakfast buffet and pool bar. We really enjoyed being able to take free shuttle to Emerald Bay where we spent two wonderful days at the huge sunny pool. Also in the fine print I didn't see is the additional charges for any premium alcohol. We had fabulous weather, met great people and had some delicious food so a good time overall just missing the entertainment and extras that we have come to expect in a 4*+ all-inclusive resort.

This is our 6th time at this resort and it continues to be an amazing experience. We like the close proximity to pretty much everything We come back year after year because of the staff. They cater to your every need and no request is too much. They love where they work and it shows.

Just got back from a week long stay - overall, we had a fantastic time and would certainly recommend this resort. Staff - 5+ stars! Especially Juan and Oscar but truly everyone was kind, attentive, and did a great job Pool - 5 stars - plenty of chairs and you didn’t have to race down at dawn to snag them. The smaller pool closed every time there was rain overnight. Not sure why but the big pool was fantastic. Rooms - 4 stars - nicely renovated and modern. My only feedback is the mattresses were very uncomfortable. Left with some back pain after our 7 nights. Restaurants - 5 stars - food was all delicious and priced right - steak nachos at the pool were a hit, tacos and quesadillas also great. Happy hour - 5 stars! Loved that they did 2 for 1s at the pool each day from 12-1pm and 4-5pm. Activities - 5 stars - our family loved the daily bingo game at the pool (and the cash prize if you won!) Beach - 5 stars - huge beach and never very crowded; the beach vendors were also very reasonably priced and would even let you pay another day if you didn’t have enough pesos for what you wanted - we rented two boogie boards for $40 for the week A few things to note - no ATM on site. Closest is many blocks away. That was inconvenient. The gym is outdated and small. Also access to it is from the outside of the hotel off the public street. Didn’t feel very secure from a safety standpoint. Our room (511) was lovely but palm trees entirely blocked the view. Could use to be trimmed back. There is a hot tub at the small pool but we never used it. Sunday brunch buffet was delicious and included bottomless mimosas but it was pricey. Worth it but expensive. We didn’t do the all inclusive and our family of five spent about $1500 during the week eating and drinking on property for most meals. Our all inclusive quote was $3500 even with the discount so not worth it at all. Shuttle service round trip to the airport was great. On time and easy. WiFi was hit or miss. Had to buy an additional plan to support all our devices (phones, laptop, iPads, Kindle). All in all a great place in a great location - but the highlight was the amazing staff!

My husband and I stayed at tbe Bonito last May and are returning rhis Jan. We love the long walking beach and ability to wade in the ocean. The food is delicious and the drinks are not watered down. The service staff is top notch. We have stayed at the Pueblo chain in Cabo also and loved it however Cabo is too busy for us so we prefer Mazatlan and the culture. Also its fun to take the shuttle to the Emerald for a different vibe and restaurants

Beautiful balcony view. Staff very welcoming , friendly, personable and attentive. Short and safe walking distance to shops. Excellent restaurants. Beyond 10 out of 10 experience

The views were nice but our room smelled bad like it was wet. They did move us and upgrade us so I can’t complain. Over all food was great at the buffet and staff were very nice and courtious.
