Barceló Puerto Vallarta - All Inclusive

The hotel has a direct access to the beach and that was the most convenient, so you can enjoy the beach all day as well as the pool. The beds are quite comfortable and the room we had was very spacious and very clean. Most of the people serving in restaurants and cleaning staff are very nice and polite. The food was surprisingly good (despite the reviews I read before going on booking)! They had a lot of variety, specially for dinner they had different “themes” (Asian, Mexican, etc) and in general the food was nice.

The hotel itself is outdated, like early 2000s but it’s very clean. The mini fridge doesn’t cool much the drinks and is only refilled once a day. If you want extra mini bar items you need to pay extra, even though is an all inclusive hotel. If you want room service, also is an extra cost. The check out is at 12 which is “normal”, but I had a later flight and this is the first time I had to pay extra (around 20€ per person) to continue using the premises until 3pm (so, if you want to stay in the hotel, even if you’re not interested on eating or drinking and just be in the pool you need to pay). There should be more bars near the beach area. The only pool bar is quite far if you want to stay around the beach area and there are no waiters going to that area.

Apolonia and Sylvia took really good care of us at the breakfast buffet. I’d recommend not skipping on the juices, smoothies, and omelets. Everything else is underwhelming to put it nicely. What the food lacks in flavor the atmosphere makes up for.

Moises was amazing bringing drinks! Always happy to help and joke. Resort was really good. They have an adults only pool that let's you get away from the splashing and noise. Food was great and the rooms were clean! Would definitely book this place again for a family vacation.

The staff were excellent. Our room had a great layout but the shower was very finicky, the air conditioner did not work in the secondary bedroom. One of elevators in the second tower only went up to the 8th floor so we would have to get out and walk up a flight of stairs, which wasn’t a huge deal just annoying. Pool side service was amazing! The drinks and food could be better. Overall a great family trip. I would not recommend to close friends and family but for a budget friendly family vacation it’s worth the trip

Best hospitality from the pool bar and spa service. The room was so fresh and the beds were very comfortable! The fact that our room had two restrooms was also amazing.

The staff was wonderful, I really enjoyed Marco. He was very helpful and extremely friendly. He made the experience so much better

This was a great resort but a little outside of PV - 30 min cab ride to city. Great resort to stay at but not convenient to go into town. But, across the street (1/2 mile) from the PV Zoo - which was great. Also, Jack Sparrow boat rental - on site - great - short 1.5 hour snorkel tour with a great boat and a great guide at a reasonable cost.

Overall the property was beautiful and maintained very well. The staff was outstanding, the service was excellent! The food and drinks were very good. The only downside was the AC was not working very well, while we were not miserable we could have been more comfortable. This was a minor issue. The biting flies/bugs were horrific and spray should be brought. They had spray at the towel area but the bugs still persevered. Altogether, this was a tremendous family vacation and well worth our money!
