Barceló Puerto Vallarta - All Inclusive

We had a another nice stay here with some of the staff who have become like family. Juventino and Alfredo at the pool bar and cantina are always the best in the game with new drinks and a great time. Entertainment staff was good as well . Always nice to see Luis in the snack bar working hard behind the wood fired pizza oven making great food!

What a positive experience I had here. The team of Fernando, Axel, Dulanea, Anahi, and Denise on entertainment was nothing but very special. They were very enthusiastic, entertaining and fun to be with. Thank you. Jackie always knew my drink at the adult pool. I'm sure I'm spelling her name wrong. So sorry. All al la carts were great. Service, food. Hot all the time and tasting mighty fine. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable. Facility always clean. Not a lot of noise. I felt special all the time. Great staff here. You would never know if they ever had a bad day. This is the first place I would come back again. Thanks to everyone that works here that makes it special for me. Cheers from Sharon in Alberta, 🇨🇦

It was during the craziness of the cartel. So we weren’t able to go to the beach for a couple days, but they made us feel so safe. The place was clean. The people were wonderful. The staff was great. Cesar Lopez in a Premier lounge was the absolute best. We loved him so much. He made our trip the best. The food was good too. The only downside was an Asian restaurant where they served sushi. The staff there both times were not very attentive and not really very friendly. The food was excellent, but the staff was not friendly. Didn't seem to know how to communicate very well and seemed more bothered by us than helpful . Besides that we had a great vacation and a highly recommend this resort.

my experience was great, although there was a manager who came and screamed at the bartender at the bar pool, unsure of the name of the manger , however Juventino was amazing. he was having to do other people’s duties other than his own during his shift and still provided great hospitality. very unprofessional of the manager on board. as a premium member I will only be coming back for bar tenders like juventino. management again has failed

Pretty nice. Didn't get the suite shown in the picture unfortunately but was fun regardless. Food was great, staff was great and the bar tenders were wonderful. I will say me and my partner both got horribly sick the day after we arrived home. Throwing up non stop 🤮 I couldn't say it was the food here though for sure. It could have been from the hot dog stand near by 😅

The resort is beautiful! Rooms so spacious! We went premium and enjoyed the benefits. We especially enjoyed the premium lounge and Cesar Lopez! He went above and beyond to make our time in the lounge special and helped us with questions too! The Cantina Bar was a great experience too, music at night and servers very friendly!

It’s clean, the grounds are nice like every hotel in Puerto Vallarta but they are NOT all inclusive unless you book the premium level! With a 7 night stay, you only get 3 meals in the better restaurants, you pay for room service and eat in the unappetizing buffet the rest of the visit. Not even a coffee shop on the property! Yes, they have a couple of coffee machines that always seemed to be empty. Pick somewhere else.

Enjoy while you can. The sunshine, the surf and the relaxation is wonderful. Staff is professional and the international guests were great to talk with.

We were there in February 2026. This was during the time Puerto Vallarta came under attack by the cartel. The general manager of the property was very straightforward about what was going on and his number one priority was our safety.We appreciated that. The only complaint is that we had to pay for the extra nights even though other properties were giving free nights. Food was typical for all inclusive, some good and some not so good so overall average. Beautiful property and location.

This review is brand new in February 2026. This is a beautiful resort on a lovely cove. The rooms are spacious and the pools are great. HOWEVER, the place made us severely sick to the point where we relocated at our own cost to a different resort at day 11 of a 14 night stay. My wife and I each had 2 severe bought of diarrhea and severe vomiting plus body aches and dehydration. There is definitely something wrong with this resort. Not sure if it’s the sanitation, the food/buffet, the water supply or norovirus. Apparently this resort has a long and storied history of this problem. Just wish we’d have known about before we booked. Not sure how long it will take us to recover from this but it caused us to be completely out of commission for over half our time there.
