Beautiful Victorian! Staff was very friendly. Food at the restaurant was surprisingly good!!

The room was hot and Ac cooling was locked or didn’t work, not so sleep was not good.

Loved the classic feel of the hotel, certainly a throwback to a more elegant time. The rooms were huge, comfortable and functional. Central location, but very quiet at night. No problem with pets. I give this hotel a ten out of ten.

We like modern hotels; however, we bought a 2-night stay here with golf at a local charity auction 350 miles away. We embraced the experience. Internet was surprisingly fast. We had a parlor suite, which was wonderful to allow different sleep schedules, with the two rooms and drapes to separate the areas. We played games on tables in the atrium (which is beautiful); we ate both dinners in the restaurant and my husband reports that it was the BEST dinner of our 10 day road trip (and we ate at some very good restaurants). He had the rack of lamp and the presentation and taste were great. We slept comfortably and the showers were great (not flow restricted). I just wish they had more clientele. They have murder mystery nights which I would love to attend, if it was closer. They are trying; the problem is that Baker City is a way point for people traveling on I-84. However, our 2-night stay was perfect. We were able to golf the local course, which has great views and visit the Baker City Heritage Museum, which was very well done. We would stay here again. I believe it is pet friendly. Some of the reviews posted about noise, but we didn't hear anything out of the ordinary.

Beautiful hotel with lots of history! We didn't have dinner there, but had an after dinner drink in the bar and the bartender (female) was very friendly and sweet. Hotel was clean and well cared for, beds were very comfortable. The restaurant was a bit too overpriced for us and no one was there (same reason?)

The historic value of the hotel and its gorgeous chandeliers and large rooms. We loved its location in the heart of Baker.

The dinner we had was average to poor. The wait staff was excellent but the dining room was empty except for us and one other couple. No early morning coffee service in the lobby but there were small coffeemakers in each room. The staff was okay but didn't go out of their way to be helpful.

The staff in the casual eatery were very pleasant. The margarita was delicious.

We were looking forward to staying in an historic,4 star hotel. It was anything but 4 star. No counter space in the bathroom, room sparsely decorated. Dinner was a mess. The staff was very pleasant but took some time for a drink...they didn't have glasses. The food order somehow didn't go to the kitchen so they brought out soup to help the wait. The babyback ribs were not cooked that day. They tasted old and dry and smothered with too much BBQ sauce making it way too spicy. It took an hour for our food, only 1 other table with customers. The front desk checkout gal was so cold and didn't say anything; How was our stay, have a nice day...nothing!
