Big Bear Lakefront Lodge

Donna says that she's the manager, she is very rude. We got no hot water, no heater and the TV was not working. Terrible place to stay. would not recommend this place.

There is nothing good about this place. Very aged and dirty. They had plumbers working and said no hot water until 4:00 pm. I spoke to one of the plumbers and they said no hot water until next week. Apparently the owner knew this and still continued bookings, and did not disclose this beforehand. The sheets and beds were so dirty we chose to lay on top of the bed with a blanket that we brought. We left early since we could not take a hot shower and sprayed down all of our clothes with Lysol and immediately washed everything that touched that room. Steer clear of this place. I wouldn’t pay $10 a night to stay here, and they charge $200.

The beds were soft and clean, and the room was comfortably furnished with a small dining table, cabinet, fireplace, and fridge. Although breakfast was included, we had early plans and didn’t get to try it; it appeared to be a simple offering of cereal and fruit. Overall, this spot would be a great fit for families, couples, or solo travelers alike.”

This was by far the worst place we have ever stayed. The bathroom was horrendous, filthy beyond description. I dont think anyone has ever scrubbed the tub or toilet. The towels looked like they were never washed, so we went to ask for more towels at the front desk only to be given more dirty towels. There was wiring exposed in the bathroom at the light switch. We didnt even dare sleep under tbe blankets. Luckily, we had taken a throw with us and just slept on top of the comforter and used the throw. There was a strong propane odor in the hallway. We had to hold our breathe every time we ran by. I can't believe Expedia associates itself with this place. It is literally a dump. The only positive is its location.

Price is great, rooms get the job done water front!

staff was friendly, really great view of the lake with dock and optional grill area. didn’t realize there was no a/c, was a bit rough and didn’t feel comfortable leaving windows open overnight on the first floor but second floor would have been fine for air flow. overall pleasant stay, good location and view was awesome.

Dirty and in a terrible condition. Ridiculous breakfast, only some options of cereals and fruits, no place to seat available.

This property has direct access to the lake with a nice dock to fish from and a lovely beach area.

A very relaxing stay with a nice view. The balcony was perfect for early mornings and late afternoon relaxation listening to nature. The rooms were very comfy and the kitchen was a nice touch.

It was a nightmare to take a shower in this place. It was either scolding hot or more pressure than a fire hose. The main door and bathroom door looked like they had been kicked in and silicones backed together. So much silicone on the bathroom door that it never closed properly. By the end of the second night we had ants in our room. Multiple outlets did not work. This place was ok for me because im a fisherman and this hotel was on the water but actually staying in the room made me feel like i could have found something a little better. If i were to stay here again i would call ahead and make sure some of these issues will not be in my next room. Staff was good, property was nice, fishing from the dock was awesome, but sleeping and relaxing aspect wasnt there.
