Stay Express Inn & Suites Demopolis

It was an awful stay. Had a mouse in my room the second day so had to change rooms. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone

Owner was rude.

I didn't stay there once I booked online once I got there everything was a joke the picture in the hotel was day and night and look like a it look like a crack house you walk in is dead flies in the window the curtains is old the room smell like cigarettesagain mold all over the bathroom sink all around the toilet the bathtub look like some s*** you're fine at the city dump the bed oh don't let me talk about the bed the comforters on the bed was Dusty and musty the floor was nasty then look like no one dust it for years when I went to the office to complain then the manager didn't speak any English he said he was speaking English when he took my information but then speak in English when I came to complain I could not let my family stay there I ask for my money back and he refused

My crew has told me never to book rooms here again. There were roaches crawling up the walls, one had no water in bathtub, etc. They were very unhappy.

I don’t know how this place is still open. I should be condemned. Water damage on the ceiling and walls. Furniture broken, beds were very old and should have been replaced years ago. Rude manager. Told me it was against the law to have 3 people in a room with 2 beds, spouse, son and myself!! If it wouldn’t have been an emergency, we would have never stayed the night!!

I arrived late at night and rung the bell & called the #'s on door to no avail. Others had been there 40 mins. They went to the window where the manager was asleep and knocked on window until he awoke. He came to check us in with no apologies. Light bulbs in the lamps and overhead lights were very weak. Had to buy bulbs & put in lamps in order to apply makeup. No way to add makeup over bathroom sink mirror. A couple with a child locked themselves out of room on Sat. and could not arouse manager for hours. The couple was without car keys, telephone, bathroom facilities & pool was full of people that paid to swim and it was packed and noisy. The rest of motel was empty.I called the police since they had knocked on the back window without waking him up. The police knocked on the windows with a tool and woke him up. It was the worst motel experience that I have had in my 70 years because of the lack of a manager in the office. I had stayed at this motel before and it had been a nice small motel at which to stay for a few days. I definitely will not return to this facility in the future.

You hotel is beyond filthy. You can’t sit in the chair they provided at all. It’s too nasty. You can not walk bare feet in the room. Your feet will instantly turn black. The tub had a big dark ring around it. If you don’t answer room service when they knock they will walk right in. The man Mike is not friendly at all. He was walking around in the office bare feet and his feet was black. The room smell terrible. They have those old hutch back TVs in the room. We wasn’t allowed to have guest there.

This is by far the most disgusting place I have ever stayed in my life. Dirty sheets and blankets. The blanket had pubic hair all over it. The floor was so nasty I wore my shoes until i could get in the bed. Holes in the wall, no remote to tv, 6 channels, furniture looks like they got it out of the dump, walls are dirty, multiple holes in curtains, moldy and dirty sink, 2 paper thin towels and 1 washcloth, nasty wooden pallet beside shower. I am certain the manager was high when we arrived. The Health Department needs to shut this place down.

My stay was horrible. Phone didn't work, pool didn't have any water, pillows and pillow cases were dingy with stains, room smelled of urine, bedspread had burnt holes. Owner/manger was rude and disrespectful. Asked me to leave but didn't want to refund my money..
