Club Wyndham Palm-Aire

It rained the entire trip we didn’t get a chance to enjoy the pool or amenities. I wanted to extend our stay for a day because of the weather, it was a little difficult to extend one day on the website and the young man at the front desk gave me some wrong information that caused me to be on the phone for about 3 hrs and eventually walking downstairs and the manager extended it in less than 15 min. And the floor was wet from the garbage can which left a smell. Otherwise I would’ve given all 10s!

This was our 3rd stay at the Palm-Aire, we were in the Sable building with a pool view. This building is in need of a refurb but our two bed apartment was enormous, clean and all appliances worked well. We were not planning on spending lots of time inside so it was perfect. Check in was good but beware you are then sent over to a 2nd desk for them to hand over your key and give you a parking pass. James was super friendly - at first - he explained that RCI had been bought out by Wyndham and that we would need to have an training session on the new RCI website otherwise we would not be able to view any Wyndham properties going forward since the changes. He tried his best to get us to agree to a meeting time with a colleague to discuss this. I told him a number of times that I would not agree to any meetings as this was my holiday and I was not on a timetable. It was around 9pm when we arrived and all we wanted to do was go to bed after travelling from the UK. He just didn't get it - he kept banging on about arranging a meeting for a few days time etc etc. In the end I raised my voice and asked him very loudly why he was witholding our room keys - my husband then did the same and it attracted other guests attention so straight away he slid them over to us saying he wasn't doing that - actually he was, it was just another tactic, he was just choosing to not hear what we were saying. It was not a pleasant way to start a holiday. Once we had won that battle all was fine, the staff on site were really helpful, there was a full program of activities to suit all ages, plenty of parking and loungers around the pool. We didn't visit the sister hotel at the beach but we have done that previously and it was lovely. We used the spa and gym and all was good.

This resort was active, busy and lots of fun for a family. We had a great experience, the rooms were spacious. There were two pools, good water slide and lots of activities for the family.

Overall good stay. Good location and I enjoyed the amenities. Just be prepared to brace yourself for the worst check in experience. beyond that Palm-Aire is a good choice.

We stayed here to play golf. TopGolf and courses very close. We had two units, each with two bedrooms and two baths. Nice layout. One was perfectly fine but the other had a rank smell like it had been mopped with dirty water and the AC would not properly cool. Maintenance did come twice to address it but it might need a deeper dive because it never got as cool as the other room. The common areas are freezing cold. We never used the pool or any other amenities but it's a great location for all sorts of activities besides golf. I gave four stars for service because while everyone was nice it just took too long to check in with the request to sit in on a time share meeting. We were tired and needed to use the bathroom. But they were very nice.
