Lotus Pang Suan Kaew Hotel

Unfriendly on arrival, dirty room, bed was so hard and the pillows were so hard l had headaches. The wifi was almost non existent. L asked for the room to be vacuumed, but this was not done, l asked that the wifi be looked at, they sent a child who said he would need someone else to look at it. Very noisy, at night, from 9-12.30 water pipes flushing, the only redeeming feature was the buffet breakfast.

After 10 years of not being in Chiang Mai the hotel and mall have fallen into disrepair. The mall is old with many empty shops and the hotel treadbare. Many missing western restauarants.

enjoyed the pool, the tiles have been redone in the last few years in the pool. The rooms in the hotel are ornate but aging.

Pictures were photoshopped, staff was incredibly rude, and the place was incredibly filthy. We stayed somewhere else

Check in was very disorganised. Kept telling people to sit down after check in time and wait longer. Lots of people had been travelling all day so this didnt help. Airport transfer advertised as 100 baht, but due to my early flight i was going to be 400 for one person. Ended up booking a private taxi much cheaper. Told brealfast was 6 till 10. Found out the hard way. It closed at 9. Does have a free mobile phone with information and google maps which is handy if you dont have a thai sim, also the pool is great and large but the surrounding needs upgrading. Asking the hotel to get a song taw (? Spelling) they wilp charge 150 baht. Walk through the mall to the main road and wave one down and its 30baht per person. They seem to take advantage of tourists that have never been before with really high prices for transport.

Despite looking very dated, the hotel is clean, reasonably priced & relatively near to airport. However wifi speed needs to be improved & not detectable in the bedroom, only detectable outside the room

I love the Lotus hotel as I always stay there on my visits to Chiang Mai

Very noisy inside the hotel; rooms dated and in need of many repairs; smelled horribly of cigarette smoke.

It was a pleasant stay. Breakfasts were excellent with varied choices. What was missing was an iron and board to freshen up wrinkles in delicate fabrics . Dry cleaning services not available when needed.
