New hotel with terrible room layout. There is no bathroom per se. The shower and toilet are separate "rooms" with partially-frosted glass(!) doors. You can see in the bottom and top AND through the 3" gap between the door and walls. Its like staying in a locker room with just as much privacy. Terrible design! The bed was comfortable. "Breakfast buffet available" means you can pay $12.99 for it. You can't stream your TV apps and the only app avaliable is YouTube. Many Dish stations listed in the TV guide are missing. Only one nightstand has an outlet for charging devices. Like a $200/night Motel 6 from the 1980's. The coffee are has one type of coffee, was dirty and out of various supplies. There so many better hotels for the money and we'll stay elsewhere on our next trip to Sacramento.

Davin is always a wonderful host and bartender! The fiod here is sublime... especially the Butter Chicken with Naan bread!

They had an event which lead to no parking at all

It was my wife's very first Mother’s Day post-chemo, and the front desk associate, Kevin, managed to single-handedly ruin it by harassing her and making her cry. Instead of a celebration of her health, my wife was subjected to targeted bullying while solo-parenting our 3-year-old and 18-month-old while I left to prepare for her special day. Because the hotel’s credit card machine was down at check-in, they didn't secure a card for the room. (the GM tried demeaning my wife saying the machine was working, but I saw my wife try 2 cards and the hotel staff said "Oh don't worry about it, you're good") The next morning, my wife did not remember the credit card wasn't on file (people post-chemo tend to lose memory quicker), so she provided Kevin with her room number, then went upstairs after breakfast. Then Kevin used the hotel phone to relentlessly call her room 5 times while she was trapped trying to tend to two crying toddlers. It was an honest mistake of my wife, she went downstairs to pay as soon as the kids were ready to leave. My wife called me in distress, so I called the front desk directly. Kevin was incredibly aggressive on the phone with me, constantly cutting me off to say, "But listen to my side!" Then he explicitly threatened my family, telling me, "I would've kicked her out if you didn't just call me." Threatening to evict my wife and kids over a breakfast bill is a major violation of basic guest safety. Then back at the hotel, as I walked past the front desk to pack our car, Kevin looked directly at me and very obnoxiously said, "Hope you had a great stay!" with a massive, mocking smile on his face. It was a blatant, unprofessional taunt after he had spent the morning bullying my recovering wife. Then the General Manager, Safal Mengi, publicly claimed these threats were "not substantiated". Therefore, his "internal review" consisted entirely of letting Kevin lie to cover his own tracks. The hotel's internal phone logs prove the harassment occurred, but management refuses to pull them because they are protecting an abusive employee. Do not trust the corporate spin in management's responses. They will gaslight you, protect hostile staff, and threaten your family’s safety over their own administrative errors.
