Capitol Plaza Hotel Jefferson City

The parking garage if you use smeeled and run down. The hotel reminded me of an episode of "abandoned Hotels". I will just leave it like that...we did not stay for thr breakfast as scared we would get sick.

Staff

An older hotel, so not flashy, but the staff is super friendly and helpful, room was clean with comfortable bed and good hot water. The location, near the capitol, can't be beat. It is also a cheap Uber ride from the train station, or, if you drive, has plenty of free parking.

First room they gave us had no working AC so they moved us into one where the sink didn’t drain! Otherwise not a bad place.

Upset on checking in to find there was $50/night fee for my dog. They did comp me one night since I wasn't aware when I booked. Was on 7th floor which was a little inconvenient for taking the dog potty since she was terrified of the elevator. The toilet was dirty, and mold in the tile of bathroom. Room had an odor. Water pressure and temperature were not very good. Bathroom was tiny. Was not aware there would be no fridge or microwave. Hotel definitely needs some updating but was charming in its own way. Staff were all AMAZING! Very polite and helpful! Disappointed that pool was not available 24/7 but realize most are not. So given these points, I would rate it 3.5

I was so old and smelled like mold. The walls had holes in them.

Friendly staff and quiet place. Comfortable bed. You can tell this was a grand hotel at one time. The waterfall in the center is a nice touch. The only issues I have are the pillows are pretty small, the security lock on the inside was missing and small mold spots in the shower. That being said I would stay here again.

Not the most updated, but decent for the cost. Had more of a motel vibe.

Was nice to be able to check in late.

Room needed more cleaning and smell like humidity
