Capitol Plaza Hotel Jefferson City

All good

I like this classic hotels better than the in-and-out express hotels along the highways. Very nice people, very quiet. I think we were there on a weekend when there were not a lot of visitors in town. The AC wasn't quite as cool in our room as I wanted, but close. I will stay there again next time. Very good breakfast, though not free.

First off they tried charging us $10 for parking after we already paid. Then got to the room and it wasn’t an executive suite like we paid for and had to go get our room changed. Once we got to the room we order food and the wife went to take a hot bath she left the water running for 15-20 minutes and it never got warm even. Also there was rose petals from a past customer still on the floor. There was a patch area in bathroom that wasn’t fully finished from repair that there was visible black mold. There was also a spot in the bedroom area by the door where there was rust and wetness that was running down the wall. There wasn’t a remote for the living room area so you had to take the remote back and forth between the living area and the bedroom. Even with all the stuff wrong we had already unpacked and didn’t feel like packing up again and moving rooms so we just waited till morning and let the front desk know. She was very understanding and gave us the email to message HR

Very easy check-in process after booking on Expedia. Bed area was ok but a little dirty. Bathroom was very dirty in shower and shower curtain had lots of stains on it.

Staff was really as good as it can get.

I have been scheduled to stay at this hotel but when I came to check in, nobody was there I was not able to check in. I was charged for the room and when I called them to tell them about it, they said I was checked in. I told them no I was checked in at a hotel down the street. Ask them if they had a copy of my ID or signature of me checkingM they never called me back and refused to refund me

The bathrooms did not have exhaust fans. This had most of the rooms smelling like mold. Mine wasn’t the only one. At night there were cars treating that road like a drag strip around 11-1am it was awfully loud.

Lots of hidden charges. Charged $10 for parking at the hotel, wanted $50 for Pet but form stated $35. Manager did let us pay $35. No complimentary breakfast or coffee provided but did have resturaunt at your expense. Parking garage was FILTHY. We chose to park outside. Check in woman was not accommodating or welcoming. Day time manager was very helpful and had good customer relation skills. Room was clean.

The bed was extremely hard, the hotel smelled wet .

I thought the hotel was average. I did see a bug on my bed and I reported it. I only saw one but it scared me and I had to change rooms. The staff was very nice about it. Cleanliness is always a concern for me wherever I go.
