The Address Cork

The Address was perfect for our two night stay in Cork. The staff was friendly, the location was great, and the balcony room was beautiful.

Large, bright and spotlessly clean room with a balcony with chairs and table, overlooking the city. Lovely patio, great place to have a light bite or drink in the sunshine. Kettle with an additional coffee pod machine. No room safe or aircon, but with a big opening window and door to the balcony not necessary. Had dinner in the restaurant good value and choice. Staff all friendly and welcoming.

I absolutely loved this hotel. The restaurant is top notch and the rooms are fantastic with amazing views of the entire city. Entire staff was also super friendly. I would definitely stay here again!

Very nice

Hotel was lovely. Room 212 was great. Very big and spacious. Good view. Bed comfortable. Balcony which you could sit on. A walk up a hill to get there. Breakfast was ok. Not a massive variety.

Very nice clean hotel with generous sized rooms. Great patio and bar area. Well equipped gym/health club. Good location close to restaurants, pubs and downtown attractions. Would have given a five star rating, were it not for a few disappointments: the hotel allowed guests of a private event to smoke in a signed non smoking area at the front entrance, resulting in strong smoke smell in the common areas; and we purchased breakfast on our final morning and despite arriving in the dining room by 8 am, we found the buffet had run out of many items (incl. fruit, yogurt, most breads etc). When we asked, they confirmed that there was no more in the kitchen so these could not be replenished. Given that they required breakfasts to be reserved in advance, one would expect that they’d have a much better handle on required quantities. When we mentioned our disappointment at checkout the front desk rep was apologetic, but there was no offer of even a partial refund.

I held a family reunion at this hotel for 60 people. Apart from the various problems encountered, I contacted the general manager in the following days andvwhen I heard nothing back I tried contacting another hotel of the group. Miraculously the general manager of Cork emailed me the following day telling me that she was very busy and I should understand. She never tried to resolve any of the problems I had. I then registered a letter to the owner of this hotel relating all the points (which are honestly outrageous for the hotel of its type) and six months later I have never heard from anybody. I asked for absolutely nothing in return as I will never stay in this hotel again but I would have expected some sort of reply. And this is supposed to be the hospitality industry? Very very very poor except for the breakfast staff. They were fantastic.

I can NOT believe ANY SANE, RATIONAL person would rank this hotel any higher than two stars. And if it wasn’t for the wonderful attitude and assistance from the staff, I’d give it a one, zero or maybe even a minus one. This hotel was renovated 11 YEARS ago and it shows it everywhere, and I do ran EVERYWHERE. I got hot water in sink and sow but NOT in tub. After telling them THREE ties about it, I beer was able to take a hot bath. The carpets and drapes smell - and not good. The carpets AND drapes have stains. And the carpets are so worn out that they have MULTIPLE ripples that are trip hazzards. The breakfast has weird tasting eggs and yogurt that had very off taste. You can upgrade you stay by sleeping under the overpass. Call it what you want, but this hotel SUCKS!!!!

It’s so rare nowadays to arrive back to a hotel just after 11.30pm midweek and be welcomed by a night Porter like Don, what a gem , nothing a hassle. Great conversation, no rush if you wanted a drink and a cold bottle of water to take to the room. Simple but appreciated.
