Castle Kona Bali Kai

The price was good compared to other local establishments. The room was large with plenty of space and it had a wonderful view of the ocean and sunsets. It’s close to the water, even though it’s all rocky.

The toilet was broken for 5 of 6 nights. They only fixed it the day before we left…and we could tell it had been broken for a long time. The toilet flapper was being held in place by two rocks. There are no local facilities for food. The nearby shops are on island time so it’s possible to never see them open.

The contact person was very helpful when we realized that we could not stay there. She offered an alternative and then a refund which we accepted.

The condo was not clean, the furniture was old and in terrible condition.

Dirty. Carpet was filthy. Air conditioner didn’t work. Tv was hard to use. Ceiling fan in front room was falling off. The patio door was near impossible to use and wouldn’t open. The bedroom had blinds which were falling apart.

the accommodation is old and deserves renovation. the terrace is not accessible because the lock on the bay window does not work. The room overlooks the parking lot and is very noisy, you can hear everything that happens in the parking lot. the problem comes from the fact that there is no glass window that can provide sound insulation but only louver type windows.

Not the best for relaxation. Partial Ocean view was nice, however, Small Lanai faces busy traffic. Unit was outdated, patio door was struggle to operate & screen was even worse. Kitchen was decently stocked for cooking. Biggest disappointment was the absurdly TINY Hot Tub across the road that was barely big enough for 4 people.

Flies keep coming from behind the vertical blinds of the sliding door. I had caught over 10 flies over two hours before sleeping and the following morning every day and night

Everything was amazing. Staff was very pleasant and willing to help.
