Inn On The Wye

Bedroom was pretty and clean. Staff were friendly.

Bathroom worn and bit grubby. Dinner was delicious and a good price but drinks were London prices. Nearly £19 for a local beer and medium glass of Shiraz. We didn’t drink or eat there again which was a shame.

Food was very good - freshly cooked breakfast and we had a family gathering nearby where the hotel provided curries for 17 people and the quality was excellent. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

The hotel is getting quite run down. Plaster broken off the wall in our room where work had been done on a radiator valve, the shower mixer tap was damaged and regulating the temperature was impossible until one of the staff showed us how. Tiles off the wall in the Male toilets off the bar, gardens unkempt, empty plant baskets hanging on the wall at the front of the hotel, worn and grubby carpets in the passageways etc. Our room was very close to the busy road and noisy.

From the photos I see when I booked I expected a little better! The building is very tired.

Nothing apart from being near the Wye but no access to river

Avoid. This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. I pulled up to get directions as my phone was dead and thought it was a derelict pub, then I saw the sign and realised I’d arrived ! The place was dirty, mouldy, run down and needed a total refurb. Room 15 was a block of outside rooms like a motel. The wood was rotten outside and everything was shabby. There was no air con and my room smelt of unpleasant cleaning product. The nice girls working in the bar gave me a larger room with a 4 poster bed but that was the same. There was even a dead cockroach in the bathroom. Part of the bar ceiling was falling down. I paid £119 which included breakfast which I did not have. If this was the state of the hotel god knows what the kitchens were like.

Breakfast very good.Dinner good. Room was poor, the building, fixture and fittings are tired .

The hotel appeared to be in a state of disrepair in places. The water in the shower took an age to get hot. Neither tap in the sink shut off properly and the cold water one was loose.

The owner was nice.

It is not 3 stars. It was not clean.

Nothing it was old, not well maintained and in desperate need of refurbishment.

Place very run down and in need of repair fences and handrails collapsing fence by the ramp up to the rooms hanging over pathway and ready to collapse. Room itself was clean however smelled really Damp and there was mould on the back wall above the wardrobes.

Welcoming hosts, availibility of secure bike storage, good facilities in the room and a fabulous Indian meal!
