One of the best hotels i have ever stayed in, in the UK. Service, and quality of the food, and drinks are second to none. We will definitely be returning very soon.
We did have a problem with the fire doors and curtains in our room but the staff sorted it out as soon as they could. It is very convenient to those visiting The Mill at Sonning for a meal/play.
The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The food was incredible and the service was second to none.
Cottage rooms were very dated, quaint, but blankets remind me of my grandparents house and the carpets everywhere were not ideal. More 1980's 90's than current.

We spent 3 nights at the hotel and treated ourselves to dinner in wonderful restaurant on our last night.Lovely, gracious hotel on the river with a beautiful garden. The volume of traffic on the road next to the hotel is unfortunate but quite sufferable. We enjoyed delightful walks along the riverside.

This is an old fashioned hotel which has excellent service and magnificent views and position. The only issue is it definitely needs its rooms updating. The general cleanliness is fine but because it’s dated it seems such a shame. Someone needs to spend a bit of money getting the rooms into the 21s century. Having said that the service is excellent and the breakfast is one of the best we have had with perfect eggs. We have stayed here before and nothing has changed in a year. Update your bathrooms.
Lovely hotel beautiful views of the gardens and the Thames from our room. Dinner excellent as was breakfast. Staff very pleasant and helpful.
