Park Royal Beach Huatulco

A unique experience, great service and great options of restaurants and food.

It was okay. I wasn’t too happy having to smoke in areas very uncomfortable without ash tray outside the resort basically on the street on a hard rock bench. 10th floor would had been great having an umbrella at least for the heat. No where to sit I felt discriminated and punished for smoking. We are customers that smoke and pay same amount for our stay too. Customers that smoke are not any less than others. I respect the rules but give me somewhere decent to sit. A chair or bench with cushion and ashtray. I’m a customer too that paid for my stay at Park Royal Beach Hualtulco. It won’t be my first option to stay at my next trip.

Getting sick from my stomach with food poisoning. The food near the beach was not too well kept at right temperature. Flies would be all over the dessert table when double doors were wide open. 7th floor restaurant is a la carte. Menu is translated in English but once they brought the plates it did not have what it said on the menu. My omelette was missing the bell pepper , onion and bacon on the side. My pescado a la Veracruzana was missing the rice. When I asked the waiter his response was we run out of rice. It would have been nice if they would let me know while ordering.

Nice beach, room was large, good service from some staff.

We stayed two nights. Because of the rule that you have to reserve dinner in person at 9:30 AM it was impossible on the day of check in at 3 PM, and we missed the chance again because we went on a tour the 2nd day. Instead we had to dine at the buffet which was overall pretty bad food. They say the reservations are full but walking past the restaurant at 7 pm, over half the tables were empty. The beach club was crowded as well with not enough seats on the beach. Generally, there is a feeling of limited resources being available that you have to fight for, rather than a feeling of things being all inclusive. It also gets tiresome waiting for shuttles to the beach or rooms up the hill. Feels like you're waiting for city transportation.

My husband and I had the the pleasure of staying at the Park Royal for a whole month. The room was quite large in the 5th building. Beds were firm but comfortable. Thankyou to Nancy for keeping our room clean with all our needs. Our favorite hangout was the 7th level pool. Never had to fight for a chair or lose a towel. Soledad the bartender was amazing. Terrific memory for what you like to drink and always with a smile. We mostly had breakfast at the 7 floor a la cart restaurant. Loved the servers Maria, Leticia, Gadial and everyone else. The cooks did a great job. The Italian and Mexican restaurants were a nice change, though having to make reservations in the lobby at 930am was a bit of a pain. We mostly did the evening buffet which was quite good. Salad was always fresh and interesting foods on the grill. We never left hungry. We are in our 70s. The Hillside was a bit of a challenge but the shuttle ran quite regularly to bring us up and down to the buffet area and beach. Juan made our visit to the buffet quite fun and all the servers work so hard to keep us happy. The stage for entertainment was in the buffet area too. My only complaint was it was too loud at times and usually only presented in Mexican. The entertainment was mediocre but enjoyable. The lower pool was busier where all the activities. More children and again the speakers were very loud. The beach area is beautiful to look at and walk but a challenge for swimming with the waves and undercurrent. You can take a short taxi ride to some absolutely beautiful clear sandy beaches and shopping. Overall a wonderful trip and hope to return next year.

Beautiful weather. We enjoyed our stay. The resort was nice and quiet, not overcrowded. This was our second time to this resort.

Wilbert and Franco, Karen were amazing servers. They bring us back yearly. The bartender at pool Rosella??not sure of spelling great service. Franco and Wilbert help us expand our Spanish. The atmosphere is wonderful. The shuttle drivers are awesome as well.
