The Reef Coco Beach Resort & Spa- Optional All Inclusive

El hotel está muy bien, limpio, cuidado. Las camas son cómodas, las almohadas también (podría poner viscoelasticas para mejorar más!). La comida es excelente. El buffet variado, para todos los gustos. Los restaurantes de especialidades son un 10; el de sushi un verdadero show, el latino muy rico y el italiano riquísimo!! Excelente la atención de todo el personal, cálidos, recuerdan a los huéspedes (y el hotel estaba al 100%). Y está a pasitos de la 5ta avenida, así q también es una gran opción para ir solo con desayuno!

Lo único negativo es la playa, justo está frente a la zona de amarre histórica de los pescadores locales, y aunque limpien el zargazo todos los días, queda ahí atrapado… pero si tenes la opción premium (25 usd x día x adulto) podes ir al reef playacar con el transporte del hotel, y usar sus instalaciones. Playa del Carmen centro y playacar estaban mucho mejor respecto al zargazo. El minibar solo con gaseosas, podría ser más amplio. Y ninguna habitación tiene cafetera.

Clean, it has really good architecture, it is clean, it’s organized

The staff members werent always nice, some of them were really rude, we had to ask a lot for many things and took a quite of time to deliver the request, they need to improve the way they do restaurant reservations, also if its all inclusive and there are some exceptions they should informe before arrival or at the moment the customer is doing the reservation, when you pay an all inclusive you have in mind that ITS ALL INCLUSIVE no exceptions.

We loved this place even though our trip did not start off very well. We arrived at the hotel late at night to find out that they had overbooked and we were shipped off to one of their sister resorts, The Reef 28. We stayed there for 2 days. We promptly checked out of The Reef 28 and headed over to The Reef Coco Beach. Took a long time to finally get us in our room that day too. Once we finally got in, we were happy. We really liked this resort. It’s smaller, which means no line ups or overcrowding. Rooms were nice and updated. GREAT LOCATION! Public beach on one side and you can walk for miles. Very close to 5th Avenue. Beach and pool were great. They do push you aggressively one day to get a timeshare - so be prepared. We liked it so much, we actually bought into it! Looking forward to returning to this resort again and again.

Just returned from a 2 week trip, the hotel was really nice beautiful and great location. PROS *Rooms- very clean and tidy. *Pool- nice big pool with swim up bar *Staff- the staff are great so friendly and looking after you (luis the pool bar man is fantastic) *Beach- really nice beach nice soft sand and you dont get pestered by people trying to sell you stuff all day *Food- the food is good but at times in the main buffet they are slow at replenishment but this is a easy work around. CONS * Lobby bar- at times the lobby bar is busy and only 12 bar staff so it can sometimes be a 15 minutes wait for a drink, easy fix by having 1 or 2 more bar men in the evening. *Food - on a few different times we had chicken drumsticks a little too pink for our liking *Sunbeds- sunbeds go fast so be prepared to get up at 7 am to put towels down to get beds. can always get a spot at the beach but if you want the pool you need to be early. all in all this was a really nice holiday and i would recommend this resort if your looking for a semi quiet and good location for mexico

The hotel was lovely and clean, in a good location for going out of the hotel for walks down 5th avenue where all the shop and restaurants are. The only thing I have to say is that the need to replenish food a bit better in the restaurant. And the snack bar are really slow when they take your order only one person to take it. And in the evening the bar in the lobby only one bar man on so when it's really busy he can't keep up they need at least a couple more.

A fantastic stay and truly a great vacation! I had an amazing time. The hotel offers plenty of activities for adults, so there was never a dull moment. Special recognition goes to the staff, absolutely brilliant, always helpful, smiling, and genuinely positive. The rooms were spacious and cleaned daily with the highest level of care. The hotel is conveniently located close to the city center and Fifth Avenue. The food was delicious, especially the breakfasts, which were the perfect start to each day. A big plus also for the snack bar, a great spot for quick but very tasty bites throughout the day. On top of that, the drinks were excellent and really added to the holiday vibe. Huge credit goes to the animation team, especially Erandi, who does an incredible job and creates a fantastic atmosphere. Boris, Kris, and Ivan also deserve recognition. The whole team did an outstanding job! Miss you guys already! Unfortunately, the only real downside was the sargassum, which prevented us from fully enjoying the beach. As a result, the pool area was often quite crowded, with limited space available. I would also suggest addressing the issue of reserving sunbeds, as it’s a practice that should be better managed. Despite these minor inconveniences, I rate the stay very highly and would definitely recommend it!
