Impiana Beachfront Resort Patong, Phuket

Anyone considering booking at Impiana need to understand that this is a special hotel, its is an older style ( not chrome and mirror ) Thai single story resort . So yes it could be easy to find wear and tear, but it is well maintained and whilst we were there we saw rooms being refurbished. Now this hotel is one of the few that have direct access to the beach , and is within a short walk to Bangla Rd. Therefore the area is noisy, however once inside the resort you don’t hear much from the street. Although you do hear the Beach Club next door until the early hours, although this mainly affects the rooms to the right of the pool, and most rooms are further away. Although I wouldn’t book the Royal villa as you might as well have the DJ from the club in your bed. We really enjoyed the private patio in our Impiana Suite, having private sunloungers meant we didn’t have to fight for one around the pool. These suites are basically two basic rooms so Bedroom, Lounge and two Bathrooms. The hotel is well maintained for its age, the pool is lovely as is the beach in front. Sunsets are the best. It is the staff that really make this place special with Kae and Mee welcoming at the front desk , Yot being attentive at the Pool Bar and around the pool, Ohlea the pool attendant doing his best to look after all guests and Polly at breakfast who made mornings worthwhile. We really liked Impiana and would stay again, remember that Thailand is the land of smiles , so go with a smile and the staff will make your stay memorable.

Impiana Resort Patong Phuket is in an Excellent beachfront location with comfortable rooms and friendly service, close to Patong’s attractions. The staff is very friendly, best location in Phuket!

Resort is located at patong beach. Staff very untrained and racist. Very less options for food. Only one restaurant. Rooms are old style. The best benefit is good location.

We had an excellent stay but a front desk staff called Tukta was extremely impolite and rude. Wish she was more considerate, we would have had a better experience! Kae was very good and always took good care of us! The rooms are big and spacious and we enjoyed our stay

We have been holidaying in Phuket since 2013 and stayed in many beautiful resorts. Unfortunately, this was not one of them. Resort is so old and needs a lot of maintenance to it. One thing that people need to know is how noisy this resort is. Beach club next door that goes from afternoon to all hours of the night, on the main road, so constant loud traffic noise till early hours of the morning. Smoking around the pool is permitted, so if you are a non-smoker, too bad! Cigarette butts lying around the pool area on ground. Staff are not super friendly. Especially the bar staff around pool. Definitely not what we have experienced in the past at other resorts. Breakfast provided was poor. Not a big selection and so basic. I feel the website is very misleading. Disappointed with our stay.

I arrived for my honeymoon. Upon entering, I checked with the front desk whether the room I was in was indeed quiet, even though it was next to the beach club. It was really quiet at night - but they didn't bother to inform me that there was a club nearby that did have music all night. When I approached reception, I noted the feeling of deception, condescending, disrespectful and arrogant behavior. I was willing to pay for an upgrade to have peace and quiet, but there were no rooms left at my level, only lower ones. Stay away from the hotel like fire, a hotel with a very low level of service! Not up to its stars. I won't even begin to describe the urgent demand for plumbing renovation.

Nice facility but could use a little makeover. I’d stay there again.

I have been fortunate to have stayed at several different hotels and this is one I stayed at for two nights on my current trip travelling around Thailand again. Now bearing in mind this hotel cost £172 for two nights and o decided to treat myself to a bit of luxury I was disappointed with the stay for a variety of reasons. Firstly I just want to say the welcome at reception was really good and the staff are all pleasant but that’s where it ended for me. Like other reviews this hotel is in urgent need of an upgrade. The reception is rather nice but then you enter the rooms and check out other areas of the hotel. The shower head was rusty and mould was in the bathroom, the cabinets underneath the sink were loose and the wooden cabinets are not secure. The rooms are what I can only describe as the chalets I used to go to at school in the 90’s so dependant on where you are there’s no privacy unless you keep your curtains closed all day. The pool area had dried cigarette butts laying around, the steps to the swimming pool are not secured and the tiles tired. The bushes are covered in a green mesh so to some degree it looks like building work is taking place which there isn’t. When you compare the like for like prices of this hotel to others (a basic booking search will show) you’ll see this hotel as supposedly a more high ended hotel however I’d say it was probably the most expensive of my trip and trips in the past and overpriced. I am sure this hotel was top notch ten years ago but it needs some serious upgrades.
