"Experience of a lifetime."

10.0

WHAT A VACATION! The resort was absolutely beautiful, how magical Jamaica is! From being greated with a song, to wild fish being caught and cooked right in front of us, to cold plunge in the spa. It was everything my wife & I could have dreamed for a recovery trip. The staff were so great some honorable mentions: Michael our butler had our backs the entire trip! He made it so special for us around ever corner. Jahvoy SAVED ME with a black coffee when I was having a terrible head ache in the morning! He went out of his way to make sure I was doing good. ( i get chronic migraines and head aches) Sashana & Shanika from the spa where incredible for our couples massage! Karona our waitress at the sushi restaurant was such a joy! and just to name a few cafe baristas were incredible! Kadia Kimmelia Shackera Thank you all for such a great time!

"Go! Don’t hesitate"

10.0

Absolutely gorgeous resort. Spotless, food amazing, staff attractive and worth visiting. Both the pool and beach were clean and plenty of seats available. We travelled with another couple and had no problem with dining early… yes, we like to eat early. The staff here absolutely loves their jobs, we asked and could tell they are truthful with their answer. This is a big thing for my husband and I! If the staff is happy that means it’s a good resort they take care of their employees

"JUST GO! You won't regret it!"

8.0

Just getting around to this review after our trip last spring but this was our first return to Jamaica since we stayed at Royal Plantation for our Honeymoon in 2014. My rating of a 4 is only relative to how incredible our past Royal Plantation experience in Ocho Rios was, however Royal Caribbean was FANTASTIC and for the convenience and price it is hard to beat. We had a very short trip (3 nights) due to small kids at home, but being able to get there quick was a HUGE plus. Bus ride was quick and easy from the airport, the welcome we received was just as friendly as we remembered from 10 years ago. The beach is beautiful, the private island was fun to explore with some cools spots to relax. We really enjoyed the pool on the private island. Room was updated and very nice, cleaned well every day. Resort grounds are immaculate! Our butlers Monique and Kevoy took care of us at every turn and were always in good spirits. Like out first trip, they were the highlight of the trip. The special touches they add really make you feel home. Do you "need" a butler at these resorts? Probably not, but we've done it both times and don't have a single regret! Having them reserve your beach or pool spot is a MAJOR plus. Every other staff member was great as well. I don't think we had a single bad experience with the staff or service other than one restaurant server who was just very quiet and hard to understand. Royal Thai was "ok". Le Jardinier was very good. We ate at Spices twice, one excellent experience and one other that was just "ok". Had a very good breakfast at Bombay. The Jerk Shack is GREAT. We loved hanging out at The Mariner during the day trying new drinks and lunch was always good (just don't be in a hurry). Never got to try Bella Napoli or La Tavola. Overall, highly recommend. The quality of food wasn't quite what we remembered from our first Sandals experience and the entertainment was a little lacking (maybe just a product of us only being there three nights) but was still very good overall and the service and friendliness are unmatched. And you can't beat the convenience and proximity to the airport. (We read reviews about airplane noise and honestly, after a day you don't notice it. Plus it's never at night or super early. And if you do notice it...just make it a drinking game!) Service is slow at times, but honestly, we didn't care. Just have a drink and relax mon! We booked a return trip while there and are looking forward to trying Dunns River next fall.

"A Memorable First Sandals Experience"

10.0

This was my first time staying at a Sandals Resorts property, and it turned out to be a wonderful experience. I usually stay at Secrets Resorts, but I wanted a change—and I’m very glad I chose Sandals. I opted for the butler service, and my butlers, Monique and Kevoy, truly elevated the entire stay. They anticipated our needs effortlessly and brought incredible energy, professionalism, and warmth to everything they did. Their attention to detail made the trip feel seamless and genuinely special. The only downside was the Wi-Fi, which was unreliable and surprisingly expensive for a resort of this caliber. That said, it didn’t take away much from the overall experience. All in all, it was an amazing stay, and I would absolutely consider returning in the future.

"Downgrade offer with no reduction in cost"

2.0

Not necessarily reflective of this resort, more Sandals practices when booking from the UK. We were booked for Apr 26, understandably the resort is closed due to the Hurricane. When looking to rebook, the options presented to me were restricted to lower value options, some in the region of £2000 less if booked today, with no offer of a partial refund. It's just a holiday at the end of the day, the people on the island have lost alot more, but if Sandals want to retain customers from the UK, dont offer a downgrade as an alternative, it's not a good look.

"Sandels hurricane screwing"

2.0

Paid a $2400.00 deposit through AAA in Portland Maine. Resort closed now due to Hurrican. We get $199.00 back and an airline credit of $1600.00 we have to use by May 2026. We lose $600.00 and just get an credit for $1600.00 we somehow have to use. Feels like a giant screwing. Won't be using them again.

"birthday surprise"

10.0

I was treated to a trip here for my birthday, with my boyfriend. I experienced the welcome song and dinner party. It was amazing from the minute we got there. I would like to recognize a few of the employees that helped in my experience. Kerry, Joy and Rosean. Plus, our photo shoot was great, thanks to Cedric and Myron. We also went to mistic mountain. Jake, Junior and Garret made so fun. The beaches, our room, and everything was wonderful. Thank you to everyone!... ps. from the boyfriend, thank you my goal was an unforgettable birthday present for someone who was never at sandals. She needed to see the fire show, get the flowers in the room, snorkel, buy a dress on the beach, and enjoy friendliness of the people there. To the above-mentioned people, we were able to accomplish all with their help and advice. THANK YOU ALL!!!! Loyal To Royal!!

"Lovely stay"

10.0

The butler service was top notch. My hubby loved it when he was served food and/or a drink without requesting it. Really enjoyed going over to the island. And the restaurant was wonderful. All the restaurants were good. Loved the little pub restaurant - watched football and had drinks. Met a lot of people. Massages were top notch. I never felt overwhelmed by anything at this resort. Thank you.

"Delightful stay even during hurricane Melissa"

10.0

As frequent loyalty Sandals members we enjoyed another 2 week stay at the Royal Caribbean. Of course our stay ended with experiencing a CAT 5 hurricane. It was an eye opener and the resort did everything possible to make our stay during this trying and horrific time bearable and even enjoyable. Hot meals (buffet style) were provided 3 times a day, towels and toiletries exchanged and one bar was open. The conditions were not ideal with only on and off cold running water, A/C sporadic as well, and some rooms just with a fan, but the resort had a generator that made everybody quite comfortable with electricity and the heat and humidity was bearable. Pools and ocean could not be used, they will need a thorough cleaning until they are ready to be enjoyed again. Since the Montego Bay airport was closed due to heavy damage, it took a few days to begin getting tourists off the island. We were able to leave on November 2 (our scheduled departing day was October 28) and Sandals had a bus to the airport. I want to take this opportunity to say that the Sandals team that stayed at the resort to cater to the guests was exceptional, GM Dawn Smith and her staff did an outstanding job and we appreciated that and of course are already booked to return as soon as possible.
