Sandals Grande St. Lucian - ALL INCLUSIVE Couples Only

My wife and I had dinner at Bombay Club restaurant. We would like to acknowledge the great attention and effort the manager Harish and Chef Navin Singh provided in accommodating my wife's food allergies. All of the food we ordered was delicious.

The ride from airport to resort was terrifying and nauseating. Would never go back for that reason alone. The restaurant staff are disappointing they are very slow and never offer to refill your drinks other then water. On more then one occasion we could not get served even after asking a second time,and once we just went to a different restaurant. Beware of staying near the public beach at the side by Gordon's restaurant. Very noisy on weekends and ocean view rooms have a road between them and ocean that loud cars and motorcycles race back and forth on.

We came back a few weeks ago from a wonderful week at Sandals. This is not our first Sandals, but have to say that this was the best customer service experience. Not that any have been bad, just that this one was a step beyond. Everyone - I mean everyone from the front desk to the bartenders to the entertainment staff to the housekeeping and maintenance - all were proactive to make sure the experience was good. I'm talking refills on drinks at the pool bar BEFORE asking, pleasant chats as we walked down the stairs just because, a nice sense of collegiality amongst different staff teams. I mentioned it to the manager and she said they work very hard to make this work all the time and was really pleased I noticed. Rooms - They were nice but not the nicest we've had. We were on the top floor of one of the main buildings that hadn't gotten a renovation, but was still well appointed and maintained (and they are doing the rest of the rooms in the next few months so everything should be new then). The carpet in the hall was a little dated and that was our only negative observation. We opted not to have a swim up or walk out as we find we don't use them and are barely in our rooms anyway. Housekeeping was so attentive and great. Property - The property is lovely. Lots of little places to sit, several smaller pools that we discovered over the week, which were quiet if you wanted to get away from the main pool. We also liked the fire pits on the piers - a great place to bring a drink and just chill after dinner. It's well designed so we never felt crowded or had a place to hang that felt like we were infringing on others. Beach - gorgeous, calm, beautiful clear water. We loved the floaty circle things where you can just lay in the ocean and chill. The swings at the edge of the water are a nice touch as are the hammocks. I think it's the nicest beach we've had at a Sandals. The view of Rodney Bay in the evening is beautiful. Pool - we LOVED that we didn't have to get up early to get chairs!!!!! Either they just manage the number of options better (lots on the beach and by the main pool) or people are just more chill, but this was a major pain point at other resorts and we were so happy. We never had trouble getting a chair. Please do this at all your resorts! Everyone was so much happier. Food - Sandals is always good and appreciate that I can find non-fish vegetarian options. I often struggle with lunch as someone who eats healthy, and am happy to see Sandals experimenting with new options (sadly not here, but at Curacao and St. Vincent - can't wait until they expand the salad restaurant!). We loved Bombay here as well as in Barbados, Gordon's over the water is a good vibe and food is solid. We liked being able to sit outside at Toscaninis as well. We never had to wait and reservations were easy - only a few (Bombay, Kimonos, Gordons) require one. Tip: download the app! You can see the schedule of activities each day, the restaurants and menus, and book one reservation in advance through the app even before you arrive! I find it very helpful. We were there for the Super Bowl and wow, did they make this special!! They spent all day transforming the main area including step and repeats to take photos with, football trivia and floaties, huge big screens at the pool so we can all watch together, a special bar, and a giant super bowl party buffet spread with all the typical American food! My boyfriend is a huge football fan as were many others there, and it was incredible how much time and energy they put into having a party for us. It was so fun to watch the game with a few hundred of our new friends from around the world by the pool. Staff that deserve a shout out: Glenda at the travel/loyalty lounge, Andre - hardest working man at the pool, Lady Lemonade and Neville who entertained us all week; restaurant/bar staff Hannah, Devyn, our butler who hosted us in our cabana and name escapes me. They all worked so hard to make sure we had a great time. Only shortcoming is that the travel day is long to/from the airport. If you take the shuttle, it's 2 hours and very windy roads. Luckily we don't get carsick but I would not recommend it if you do. We took the helicopter back to the airport (we booked through the resort and was the best price) and that was a ton of fun, and gave us a few extra hours on the property. Others opted to take the ferry which is almost as long as the shuttle drive but smoother for those who might want an option in between helicopter and road. The main airport also has a lounge dedicated for Sandals arrivals which was nice - bathrooms, snacks, beverages are available just for us until the shuttles depart to the resort. A lovely perk I wish we had at all our airports (and would be GREAT to have a departure lounge, too as the St. Lucia airport is very small past security). We had said this was probably going to be our last Sandals as we get bored of the same type of thing, but the experience was so good we put a deposit down for St. Vincent... thanks to all at the Grande St. Lucian for making our vacation fabulous!

I understand many of you are looking for a vacation spot when traveling here. My review includes this resort, but also its wedding venue. My now husband and I got married here in January. We had 36 friends and family travel down to the island to join us. After a rough start to the wedding planning process, we ended up getting matched with Urnicia. She's an abolsute God send and was able to make a tumultuous wedding planning experience an absolute BREEZE. Upon arrival at the resort, we were under the guidance of Fern (a wedding planner). Oh. My. Gosh. No worries. I knew my wedding was going to be EASY with Fern at the reins. The photographers Jonathan & Nya and the videographer Randell NEED to be requested by name. I promise you won't be disappointed. There is quite literally no better group than these 3 and Fern together. Going to be honest for a second, I truly was scared this was going to be a tacky resort wedding (come to find out MULTIPLE guests thought the same). When I tell you it was elegant, sophisticated, and yet a CRAP TON OF FUN. I've been to over 15 weddings in the past couple of years, and I truly think this was the best wedding anyone could attend. Several guests came up to us to tell us that this was the best week, weekend, and wedding of their lives. The staff went COMPLETELY out of their way to give us the world. Don't be shy, get married here. We got the wedding chapel, and it was GORGEOUS. The cocktail hour was in the garden, and the reception was outside the spa. The DJ was awesome (even posed for several pics!). Outside of the wedding, all of our guests couldn't stop RAVING about their experience. It was a heck of a trip and will be remembered for a lifetime. The staff here is honestly ridiculously sweet, helpful, and above all, they seem to genuinely like what they do. If they hate their jobs, I for sure never knew. I will be coming back here.

We had the absolute pleasure of being served by Andre at Sandals Grande St. Lucian, and he truly made our trip even more memorable. As soon as we met him, he went out of his way to seek us out around the property just to make sure we had a drink in hand. That kind of attention and care doesn’t go unnoticed! Andre constantly surprised us with custom drinks he created just for us, and every single one was fantastic. More than that, he delivered everything with a genuine smile and such a friendly, positive attitude. You can tell he truly enjoys what he does and cares about the guests’ experience. If you’re visiting Sandals Grande in St. Lucia, be sure to look for Andre — he’s a standout and a big part of what makes the resort feel so special.

Sandals Grand St Lucia is a beautiful resort with exceptional amenities on an incredible beach. We split our stay in a Carribean Deluxe Oceanview room for the first half and an Overwater Bungalow for the second half. Our butlers Keisher and Luther were AMAZING during our stay in the Overwater Bungalow. They went above and beyond in every way to make sure we had an incredible experience! THANK YOU!!! The main pool area is quite large with many chairs but we had to have our towels out by 6am to get a spot...so plan to get up early and be seated in your spot by 10am or they can pull your towels...which is actually pretty fair to avoid reserving and then never showing up. We're not foodies, but we thought the food was really good...especially Kimonos and the Italian restaurant. Barefoot and Gordon's are both beautiful and romantic places to have dinner as well. Lunch from Dinos pizza, Mariners and the Jerk shack were also good. Drinks were plentiful although there were no servers walking around the pools taking orders, so be ready to walk yourself to the bar :)...which we didn't mind. BUT...be aware that this resort is on the opposite side of the island from the main airport...so it's a LONG drive through winding, hairpin turns over the mountains and dead stop traffic through Castries, the capital city. Both ways it took us 2 hours and 15 minutes and we had a private car...the traffic was just that bad. So, that is the only reason I would hesitate going back. However, you can take the ferry there and back for less than the cost of a private transport and it's an 1.5 hour drive up the coast...will definitely do that if we return. Sandals does provide a free shuttle service in small buses, which is a great perk, but if you are prone to motion sickness like I am, I would not recommend this mode of transport as the roads are really curvy most of the way.

Everything was AMAZING! From, the people to the food and entertainment. The best show was the Burlesque Show. It was well choreographed and everyone had such amazing voices!! The grounds are beautiful are well kept. We would definitely recommend this resort, and will definitely return.

Breakfast was really good every morning Lunch was tasty and most of the restaurants were good most of the staff were very friendly including entertainment they were exceptional and remmy and Andre they went above and beyond

The indian restaurant food was good but service was poor from start to finish I received my drink with the pudding and pompa domms at the end the manager started his greeting with please allow the chef time to cook and be patient not the best way to say hi The pictures that get took around the place are great but well over priced and we only bought because it was our honeymoon otherwise we would have left it The gym needs the machines fixed very good gym for the complex but far to much broken
