Sandals Grande St. Lucian - ALL INCLUSIVE Couples Only

We chose Sandals Grand St. Lucian expecting the level of service and attention that has kept us coming back to Sandals Resorts for years. Between stays across the brand, we have spent well over 90 nights at Sandals properties. This was, without question, our worst experience. For a resort that positions itself as luxury and commands this price point, the service was inconsistent and at times outright poor. Issues that should have been handled quickly required repeated follow up, and there was little sense of urgency or ownership from staff. What was most concerning was the complete lack of response through the Sandals app. The app explicitly encourages guests to submit complaints or feedback so issues can be addressed in real time. We used it. When no one responded, I sent follow up messages expressing my disappointment that no one from the property had reached out. Still nothing. No acknowledgment, no contact, no attempt to resolve or even understand the concerns. At this price point, and especially for returning guests with extensive history at Sandals Resorts, this level of indifference is unacceptable. Guests should not have to chase basic service or wonder whether feedback channels promoted by the brand are actually monitored. This was an expensive trip, and the experience did not come close to matching the cost or the Sandals brand promise. Based on this stay, we would not return to this property, and I would strongly encourage others to read recent reviews carefully before booking.

This beach and pool area is the best of the 3 sandals on St Lucia. The pool area just looks nice with the statues and such. There were a lot of places to take picture. The beach was good, not too rough. I did find the white float in the middle covered in algae. The other two were ok. The hammock in the water by the pier was unusable. Someone should bring both in and wash them. I still gave them 5 stars since the rest of the place was nice. The food t lunch was the same as others. I didn't have a room here so I can't vouch for them. We stayed at La Toc Sandals and drove here for a day. This Sandals is walking distance to the Fort Rodney parking area. The drive here could have been better. I should have taken the long way and avoided the port by La Toc.

My wife and I booked this resort for our 25th Wedding anniversary as we were looking for somewhere special to celebrate the occasion. We spent over £8,000 when we booked it 18 months in advance.
Unfortunately, on the second day of the trip I contracted food poisoning at the resort, and ended up on a drip in the nurse’s room to get my fluid levels back up. Three bags of saline drip, two blister packs on tablets later I was presented with a medical bill for over $950.
Luckily our travel insurance covered most of this, but with the excess on the policy we need up out of pocket.
This combined with the money wasted on the “Romantic Meal’ we paid in addition for, which I could only pick at, as I was unable to eat for 5 days following the food poisoning, resulted in us being over £250 out of pocket. On return home I was sent a survey on our trip, and I laid out all the issues with the food poisoning, and also the poor service we received whilst on the quiet end of the beach and from room cleaning. The response I got was “sorry about that”!!!! Having spend over £8,000 pound, I was expecting a better response that “Sorry about that”, so I sent a letter of complaint to the customer services department of Sandals in the UK. Today I received a response which has left me gobsmacked. As I couldn’t prove that I got food poisoning at the resort I didn’t qualify for any compensation. They had carried out a test on the stool sample I had to supply them, and they tested for salmonella, which came back negative. 
Salmonella is not the only cause of food poisoning, They did not test for E.Coli., Campylobacter, Listeria, Staphylococcus aureus or other causes. According to Sandals, salmonella is the only cause of food poisoning - they need to get their facts right. We ate at the resort when we arrived without suffering any symptoms of sickness, we never left the resort to eat or drink elsewhere, at the end of the second day I became violently sick - but apparently it didn't happen at their resort!!!!! Just washing their hands of a customer complaint is absolutely abysmal. If this is the way they treat their customers then we will NEVER stay at a Sandals resort again.

Great place really enjoyed it, had some amazing nights in the piano bar with a singer doing only requests from the audience.

Sandals Grande St. Lucian exceeded our expectations with stunning views, amazing food, and incredible service. Nyah’s fitness classes were a highlight—she was so encouraging and fun—and the Sandals golf course was a blast. An unforgettable honeymoon! Tips: if you’re only there a few days, make dinner reservations early—some restaurants book up days in advance. Skip the taxi and take the “Fun To See” ferry from the airport—it was amazing! They greeted us at the airport and the ferry took us to our resort by boat. If you do take a taxi, pack Dramamine—the roads are wild and the ride can take 1–2+ hours. Overall, such a beautiful country—you’ll have the best time!

We had a wonderful time at Sandals St.Lucian. The property is beautiful, the staff exceptional and the food and drinks were amazing. The entertainment was wonderful. We especially enjoyed the tree lighting and the amazing choir of young people that performed. Also loved the fire and light show and the Reggae band. We enjoyed our dinners at Kimono’s, Bombay and Gordon’s, and of course Barefoot on the Beach. Who doesn’t love an amazing meal where you get to put your feet in the sand. We will definitely recommend to friends and family.

Wow! What an incredible trip we had last month at Sandals Grande St. Lucian! This was our 6th trip to a Sandals/Beaches resort, and this one was THE BEST one YET! Once we arrived, we were greeted and acknowledged by EVERYONE! There was a great feeling here that EVERYONE was really appreciative of us being there. It's hard to explain, but FRIENDLINESS was OVER THE TOP! Many people stopping to ask us how we were doing, and if there was anything we needed. Example, Jaime who is the manager of the gift shop who was out on the property that night in a different role. He was very engaging and had a great personality...friendly, helpful, caring, wanting to know how we were doing...it felt genuine. There were many who exceeded expectations including Jadel at breakfast, Ivy at Mariners, Kilan at the bar at Mariners, Jessie Sealy at Bayside, Tonya at the Red Lane Spa, Sandy at Gordons...Besides Jaime who stood out from these elite folks, Gania was a great leader with a great personality, and composure to him. We had the pleasure of meeting at Kimonos and at Gordon's... His smile, sense of urgency to serve and professionalism were impressive. He is a great asset to Sandals... I could go on and on about the great PEOPLE here...They were that good! Really impressive. Thank you! Now onto the spectacular food! WOW... Every meal we enjoyed was delicious. Plated so beautifully like artwork in a museum. Details...art... WOW...We enjoyed every meal...We have come to know Sandals/Beaches to have incredible food, and Sandals Grande did not disappoint. The restaurants that you did not have to make reservations at definitely held their own with the high level that Kimono's, and Gordons displayed. I loved the Cordon Bleu so much that I enjoyed it on two separate occasions!! The Lasagna was SOOO good! The Jerk chicken, the surf and turf at Gordon's...Overall, INCREDIBLE. Quality, Taste, EVERYTHING. Very Impressive Lastly...Let's talk about the resort! Such a BEAUTIFUL location! The weather was great...The property was very clean, and had nice touches throughout. Loved the swing in the water at the beach...the area that you could walk out (like a pier with all the flags) and see the beach and the resort from...I would watch the sunsets from here nightly.... WOW... The pools were very nice...The swim up bars served great drinks... the activities during the day were nicely done. There was a very tall gentleman who had a great voice who was getting everyone involved. Great stuff. Thank you again for the incredible trip at your resort... We can't stop thinking about it!

We recently returned from 9 days' vacation here. It was our third time at this resort, having been here in 2017 and 2019. We again stayed in a Caribbean Honeymoon Beechview Penthouse Club Level. Our room was 3301. third floor end in the Boone Terre Building. Found the staff very friendly. The 3 buildings in our end of the property are scheduled for renovation next summer. The room was in excellent condition and room was keep well stocked and cleaned daily. We did not get to see into one of the renovated rooms on the other end of the property, but could see they had new roofs, patio furniture and new clear railings. Not sure what was done inside the rooms. Our goal was to eat our meals outside. We were able to book Gordon's for 2 dinners and eat 2 dinners outside for Italian food. If the beach is a top priority and it is for us, I would pick this resort over the other 2 in St Lucia. You're on a bay here, so well people at La Toc had red flags for 4 days, we enjoyed the beautiful ocean with green flags. We stayed our entire time at the resort having done excursions on our other visits. Some general observations or tips. Flying in, sit on the left side and you'll get some good views of the island. Yes, expect the car ride to take 2 hours or more to this resort. We paid $320 for roundtrip in a private car, and it was well for worth. Highly record our driver, Nick. We had no issues with bugs and in fact left our slider open at night. Book a room at either end of the property if you want it quiet Better yet, book a room with an ocean view, not beech and it will be quieter. Entertainment raps up about 10pm. Better we thought than last trips. One last note. this property is for all ages. 5 weddings on the weekend and we met 3 couples married over 50 years.

This was our first experience at a Sandals resort and my husband and I are hooked! From the moment we arrived, we felt pampered. The sweet young lady in the concierge lounge helped us book all of our dinner reservations and gave us great advice on excursions. JJ's Speedboat Tour was so fun! Terrell was awesome and taught my husband to use the Hobie Cat boat. We got to know Vickie at two different eating areas and she took great care of us. The food was excellent, there were people everywhere eager to provide whatever we needed, and there was so much to do.

Let me start with..... Zidan and Lance (MANAGERS) were FANTASTIC!!!!! Nell (front desk) and Yvonne (bar help) WERE PHENOMENAL..... However, aside from that....Great Room, terrible service. Was there from Dec 2-11 AND EVERYDAYYYYYY that we were there TO INCLUDE the 2nd, we had to call MULTIPLE times for towels, coffee, and/or refrigerator replenishment. It was ABSOLUTELY ridiculous!!!! Additionally, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE...... DO NOT ENGAGE with "SUNSHINE" at the Tourism/Transportation desk. She is RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL, and disrespectful to customers and even coworkers!!! She gives MUCH attitude as if you are bothering her, even though she is there to work and assist customers. SHE IS THEE WORST employee there and honestly, since a couple of her own coworkers anddddd a couple we had met from Georgia during our stay, stated the same thing about her ATTITUDE, I TRULY hope Management or Corporate do something about her.!!!! SANDALS, YOU DO NOT want someone of this caliber representative of your brand!!!!
