"Lovey, comfortable hotel"

8.0

Lovely small hotel. The room was lovely and comfortable although there was no room. The staff was very helpful (Celeste was outstanding and should be applauded!!) We were there for only one night from August 5-6 and she couldn't have helped more with giving us an early breakfast to go and telling us about the must-see sights and recommendations for restaurants.

Just great - friendly staff. Near trams. Easy to get to from Stations. Fireworks on Swiss National Day were a bit over the top!

"Zurich"

8.0

Zurich is a nice city but not much in the way of churches/sites to visit. Museums very expensive and no photos allowed in Grossemunster. Lots of shopping but nothing much is open on Sunday, even many restaurants are closed. Lovely lake, boat trip available. A cit you only need a day to visit.

"Not bad, not great"

6.0

Stayed at the hotel on business and it was "OK". The rooms were clean, but no AC made it warm and no screens on the windows. Fresh fruit was provided, but not replenished each day just at check in. Showers are small as is the bathroom. Restaurant downstairs was good, but obserd prices ($35 USD for pasta!). Additional taxes apply, not included in the room rates of approx $15 USD per day. All in all, not a bad hotel for a night or two.

"leisure holiday"

6.0

Good hotel although room 37 not recommended at all!! Room gave totally negative experience of the whole stay in The hotel... Dreaded going back to the hotel as room too small. With bathroom even smaller.. Barely one metre distance and barely one foot from bed and wall.. Horrible.. Did not complain cos not the type of client who likes to complain. Breakfast good.. Dinner also.. Zurich awesome..

Pleasant, casual, very clean hotel. Restaurant gets a little noisy which drifts up to the rooms.

"Noisy rooms"

4.0

There's really only one thing this weary traveler needs from a hotel - and that's sleep. While this hotel was in a great location, with amazingly nice staff and a great continental breakfast, our stay was really marred by the inability to sleep. The hotel itself has very thin walls, with clunky doors constantly being opened and closed. The loud banging was supplemented by loud hairdryers, loud TV's, conversations and other mystery bumps from within the hotel. Outside, our room was over a busy restaurant, with outside seating directly under our window. Enough said about that! The streets by our room were filled with car and motorcycle noise, and what seemed like continuous construction. Pros: Nice staff, nice location near the river, walkable to everything, great breakfast. Cons: Extremely noisy, the bed had two twin sized comforters instead of one, which was weird. Tiny bathroom with no bars of soap and no hair conditioner (a must-have for me with long hair). So, if you're a deep sleeper with short hair, you might find this place to be quite nice.

"Quiet hotel with good restaurant"

10.0

This is a quiet hotel located two blocks from the shore of the lake and about four blocks from the Opera House. The rooms are comfortable, and the restaurant supplies excellent breakfast and dinner experiences. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
