De Vere Wokefield Estate

We arrived very late as pre planned with the property, we had a room for 3 however the sofa bed was broken and we also didn’t have any bedding for it. Rang reception and a very helpful man brought a fold out bed and some bedding, apologised and said the bed should have been prepared for us. This was an inconvenient start for us being so late, however it was resolved. The property is beautiful and a really lovely place. Lots of choice for breakfast and really nice food.

The hotel is beautiful, especially the Mansion House. The staff lack leadership and direction from managers. The staff try to do and help as much as they can. Our room was quite small. Bathroom and shower was great.

Absolutely brilliant afternoon tea the food was delicious and the service fantastic. As it was a lovely day we decided to sit on the terrace which had lovely views over the beautiful grounds. This is definitely the best experience of afternoon tea that I have had and will definitely recommend to others and will look forward to returning.

Unfortunately, my plans were foiled and arrived at the hotel in the dead of night. However, on a positive note, I was welcomed by the lovely Ellie on reception. Ellie was very warm and attentive to both myself and the other arriving guest. She took the time out to ask me how my journey was and to ensure that I had everything I would need for my stay. I’ve just had a quick wonder around the hotel before retiring for the night. It has a beautiful foyer and can’t wait to see it in the day time. My room is lovely with a comfy bed and a well equipped bathroom. I’m looking forward to yet another day at a De Vere hotel.

My wife and I stayed at De Vere Wokefield last week and all the staff in Benedicts bar were excellent. In particular Tawana, she gave outstanding service—she was warm, welcoming, and had such a lovely aura that really stood out. The hotel rooms were also spacious, comfortable, and very well kept, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. Will definitely be back!

The course layout is good but from tee boxes, fairways, bunkers and greens are well below Par. The hotel, bar, restaurant and staff were very good.

Absolutely stunning weekend away here ! Beautiful scenery , grounds and facilities ! Staff friendly and attentive , place is spotless and had everything you need in the rooms ! Food was incredible and the drinks were lovely , the leisure facilities were spot on too , clean and well looked after ! This place is wonderful ! I can’t wait to visit again !

A below average experience. Visited for a short golf break, Wasn’t able to check in before our first round, on what turned out to be a very mediocre course in poor condition, so checking in and getting dinner became a rush, but you wouldn’t think it would be a problem as we had pre-chosen our meals. When we got to the correct location, it was clear that they had under catered, and the food we were expecting was not available. So no expected meal. Breakfast the next day was acceptable, however dinner was again very under whelming ! Breakfast on day 3 was adequate. Overall very disappointing !

The golf course was in very poor condition. The room was clean and acceptable The evening meals were pre ordered but there was not the food we ordered The two breakfast were both cold even though they were under the lamp. Hot food should be served at a minimum of 63 degrees, I believe it was a health hazard so only ate the hot bits ( mushrooms/ sausage/hash browns. Overall I was not happy with that recent visit to a de vere hotel
