Pestana Grand Premium Ocean Resort

thank you for giving us such an enjoyable holiday. You run a beautiful hotel and I was delighted to return after 9 years and to find it even better than I recollect. We loved all the attention to small details and how you keep the hotel and surrounding grounds immaculate, it appears to be done so effortlessly, the mark of exceptional customer service. The food was such a high standard and, worthy of note, is how your staff behave, always conducting themselves with professionalism and with a welcoming smile at all times.

Pestana Grand is situated on the coastal path between Funchal and Camara de Lobos making it ideal for walking to either place. There is a bus stop just outside the hotel with a 10 minute service to Funchal. The hotel is kept spotlessly clean with plenty of space. Very good room accomodation with large bed, two seat sofa and armchair, balcony with chairs. Great sea view. Food was good, served buffet style and the option to book at either Madeirian, Italian or Moroccan restaurants on site. Staff very helpful and friendly.

The views from the room were priceless, the customer service was top notch, and the use of Judita's laundry service was both efficient and s cost savings.

Great location with all available amenities. Easy access to Forum Madeira mall as well as Funchal attractions. The staff are extremely positive and proactive to make your stay comfortable. Only negative is that the hotel needs a revamp with the flooring in the common areas, the dining area a bit run down. The rooms are really good size but again, the furniture needs a revamp.

The buffet selections were good for breakfast and dinner. Enjoyed the pool area and nice walk along the promenade. However as most guests mentioned the hotel needs updating.
