Hunton Park Hotel

We had such a hot and cold experience! We originally came and did a tour and asked to book the intimate package, we where then contacted by a member of the team with our prices for the booking including extra room hire for the evening, we went ahead and booked after falling in love with the Orangey for a picturesque ceremony, time goes on and breakdown of the day sent over, fine no problems… I book a singer for the reception, meal stated to start at 4 so singer booked until then, Hall booked for 7-11.55 so Dj booked for that time…. Three weeks before the wedding date, revised timeline sent through along with all minor details, i stupidly have skimed over times and focused on the smaller details for the day unknowingly not seeing meal has been bought forward to 3:30 and hall now only until 11. So money wasted with singer and DJ as timings where then made aware of on the actual day of the wedding. Also very close to the wedding date an extra bill was sent to us for table wine.. we argued we had booked the intimate package for 30 people it states half a bottle per person is included! Oh no we where then informed as we had less then 30 (28!) we where billed individually for items to save us money! When you added in the wine bill we actually would have paid £700 more (make that make sense) Day before the wedding was fine we had Ian who we where informed would be looking after us on our wedding day, very nice guy helped us set up the orangey for our meal and as the weather was so nice he set up for the ceremony in the garden, we discussed the plans for the next day and all said goodnight! We had booked the Buttery for the night before and the night of the wedding. discovered the morning of the wedding our coffee machine was broken…. No phone in the Buttery! First walk up to the reception in pjs! Maintenance came and it was replaced. Then we where informed Ian would not be in today (car troubles) so Amy would step in. As organised breakfast for 11 of us arrived at 9am one dinner plate full of fruit and a few small pastries! Not at all as we where expecting! Also was informed they would take any hot food orders at the time to bring back for any of us. Nope the staff where gone in a flash… handy if the room had a phone eh! So after many back and forths for what was promised all was ready for the ceremony! Which for some strange reason had to many chairs laid out now! Definitely makes the photo’s look odd. Reception drinks! We had ordered 5 buckets of beer and some bottles of Prosseco on top of the drinks included in our package, we only received the extras we paid for. At this point had found the breakfast stuff from the buttery still hadnt been cleared, seeing as this was then the honeymoon suite youd think that might have been done. Then comes dinner! Speaker wasnt working for music, bubbles already poured on the table for speeches before wed sat down, they where nice and flat when we came to drink them. Fine then our 100 guests arrive for our evening party! Which they knew would arrive at 7 So of course only one member of staff on at the bar! I feel so sorry for who ever that was! One of my guests said they would have loved to join in the party but took 40 mins just to get a drink! Then comes the night manager! Wow what manners he has… We knew the bar in the reception party would close at 11, but with no warning he also closed the main hotel bar. I quote! “im not breaking the law keeping it open!” We had another encounter with him the next morning when we asked him to look for where our card board boxes had been placed, again what fun that was! We had an apology the next morning from hotel staff saying the bar shouldnt have closed at 11. But of course what good was that the next day. Amy was very helpful with our cake dilemma during the day but so much miscommunication in the lead up and on the day just put such a huge dampener on what should have been a lovely day. Overall i wouldn’t recommend

Comfortable beds and nice pillows.

Lage für unser Vorgaben war gut, wir wollten ein Hotel für 1 Nacht für den Besuch der Warner Bros. Studio Tour. Es ist 5 Minuten mit dem Auto davon entfernt. Generell war das Zimmer eigentlich eher besser als erwartet.

Die Stromsteckdosen funktionierten am nächsten Morgen aus unerfindlichen Gründen nicht mehr, keine Einzige davon. Das Licht im Zimmer aber schon. Am Vorabend alles noch einwandfrei. Hat wohl mit der Zauberei aus den Studios von nebenan zu tun.

Location was great

The room booked was not available due to a leak, and the substitute room was nowhere near as nice as the one booked, not as comfortable and much smaller.

Breakfast and food was good, location was quiet.

The room was quite small and bed was uncomfortable. Two twin beds put together with a big dip in the middle. Shower has no door, water leaking out past the glass panel on to bathroom floor.

Not how it looked in the photo Thought the hotel was the country house but its connected. Food menu was very basic

The hotel and grounds are beautiful

Our Superior double room was not worth the money. There was no view at all as the window had a frosted screen over it. Very disappointed.
