"Less than Perfect"

6.0

We have stayed at this hotel several times in the past although this year was the first in a couple of years The hotel is in a good location Our chief disappointment is that the HVAC system is far too loud in the bedroom. Both my wife and I independently described the startup of the HVAC system to the sound of a jet engine. Not what one wants to hear at 2am. Another issue was that the elevator was dirty and wasn't vacuumed for the first 3 days of our stay. The evening receptions on Mon-Wed weren't the same quality as other Residence Inns at which we've stayed,On a good note that staff was very polite, courteous and helpful. However we will rethink about staying at this hotel in the future.

"Nice place"

8.0

The rooms are comfortable - but we experienced noise from people sitting at the outdoor fireplace into the night. Breakfasts could also be better - eggs seemed very overcooked and just warmed up. They had a nice get together in the evening and pleasant staff.

"BEAUTIFUL AND VERY COMFORTABLE"

8.0

I recently visited and stayed with my husband while he is working long term in Tucson. We moved to this hotel from another outdated and no so great Marriott. Our room was perfect. New style air conditioning that made our stay comfortable. We had a studio with a bedroom with a door that separated the living area from the bedroom. I loved this feature, because my husband worked until late at night. The design of this hotel is fabulous and it’s really beautiful. My only complaint which is why I gave 4 stars was the cleaning of our room. After leaving for the day and having our room clean, it was evident that only the bare minimal was done. The sheets were changed and the bed made and all towels etc... were restocked. That was it. No surfaces had been cleaned, the tub was not cleaned, the kitchen counter tops were not wiped off and floors not vacuumed. The other tiled areas appeared to have been mopped but nothing else was done. Being such a new and beautiful place, it’s neglect such as this that wears down your rooms. I had to move my nightstand one night to retrieve something I dropped and found multiple items and a lot of dirt under and behind the nightstand. To retain the fabulous place you have, you must employ personnel that truly cares to maintain a clean hotel. The hallways were never vacuumed the entire few weeks I was there. I found dropped food and trash outside our room in the hallways multiple times. Now to a subject no hotel wants to address. I totally agree with not smoking in any area that would offend others and that it’s the law in Arizona as well as every other state. However, you are going to have smokers. It almost seems like a discriminatory aspect when nothing was provided outside away from entrances etc... for smokers to sit and have a smoke. We always sat on a concrete wall behind the dumpsters to smoke and made sure our cigarettes were thrown away. I’ve traveled extensively and have always had an area where smokers could relax and drink their morning coffee and smoke their cigarettes. I mean honestly your not deterring anyone from smoking, Your just making us feel unwelcome. Individuals that smoke, travel and stay in hotels. It’s a fact of society. Why not put into place somewhere where they are welcomed to sit and smoke. Other than these few things I highly recommend this hotel while in Tucson. The parking is extensive and the beauty of the hotel is exceptional. I did not participate in the free breakfast’s at this hotel so I can not comment on that. However, three days a week in the evening they offer free appetizers/small meals and beverages and that is a nice touch.

"Great breakfast!!"

10.0

Nice room and customer service. Free WiFi. The breakfast really stands out!! More than basic. Nice additional touches that put it over the top — cold brew coffee, pumpkin spice creamer. 20 min to airport.

"Under renovations"

6.0

I didn't realize before booking that hotel was going through construction renovations. They did a good job of managing and communicating, but it was not something I was expecting with noise and sections of hotel blocked off and number of active workers. They charged extra for parking which was also unexpected. Hotel room was clean and well maintained, but noises traveled through to room from people walking around (ceiling) and voices from neighboring rooms. Don't feel I got the value for the money spent.

"**Horrible Experience"

2.0

I called your hotel the night before to confirm our reservation as my family, including five adults and an infant were driving from Nevada the day of our reservation. Your hotel confirmed our stay and room type. We did not know our room was unavailable until we pulled into Tucson at 6:00 pm to check in. I never got your email and no one called us. The woman I spoke with at your hotel was short with me and didn’t seem to care. We were forced to find another hotel of our choice in time to make it to by disabled brothers birthday dinner. You ruined our plans and caused us undue stress. We will never stay at this hotel again. Your processes need refinement, employees need training, and I give you an zero stars.
