In October, we had the pleasure of staying at Katy House Bed and Breakfast in Smithville, Texas, while visiting the area for a wedding. Upon arrival, we were immediately captivated by the charming and welcoming ambiance of the property. The rooms were thoughtfully decorated, comfortable, and quiet, with historic details that added character without feeling dated. Breakfast was a highlight of our stay. The fresh, homemade dishes were served with care and attention to detail. The hosts were incredibly attentive and friendly, offering helpful local recommendations while ensuring that guests had plenty of space to relax and unwind. The location of Katy House is ideal for exploring Smithville’s historic district. The shops, cafes, and scenic streets are all within walking distance, making it easy to immerse yourself in the local culture and charm. Staying at Katy House felt like staying with thoughtful friends rather than at a hotel. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway with personality and comfort, Katy House is an excellent choice.

We stayed here for our anniversary trip and enjoyed our stay. Check in was easy with videos and our cottage was very cute. It was clean and we had everything we needed. The breakfast tasted delicious!! Shopping and dining were within walking distance. Tiffany and her family made us feel right at home. We will stay here again, highly recommend it!!

You're comfortable from the moment you step inside. Tiffany will make you feel welcome and cared for. She's knowledgeable about the area - history, where to go and how to get there - friendly and helpful, and just a delightful conversationalist. Lovely and interesting interior décor. Every room is spotless clean and smells fresh. We booked the room with the balcony porch - perfect in the morning and evening! Comfortable beds. Breakfast was gourmet outstanding! My wife and I were here for a wedding nearby in the country. Walkable to several eating and shopping spots. Smithville is fairly quiet (that's a good thing), but there was live music a couple of blocks away. And this location has reasonable access to several well known destinations. If Austin or Brenham or Round Top is overbooked or not your cup of tea, Katy House is close enough! We would love to return.

Great breakfast and staycation

Great stay and awesome host! Stephanie is an great host and personality. Room was extremely clean and comfortable. Breakfast was cooked fresh and served with love. Stay here, you won’t regret it!
