Villa Roma Resort and Conference Center

My husband and I spent a week at Villa Roma Resort two weeks ago. I was hesitant to go when I read some of the negative reviews, but we were pleasantly surprised. Our timeshare unit was very clean, quite spacious and furnished with what appeared to be newer furniture. There was a minor problem with the shower, but the maintenance man came and fixed it immediately. All of the staff we met were pleasant, competent and helpful. Some of the outdoor amenities were closed because we were there in October. We were able to enjoy many indoor activities including pickleball and the beautiful indoor pool and hot tub where we enjoyed aquapower classes led by the very proficient, Susan. We went to most of the shows offered and found them to be very entertaining. We especially liked the tribute to the Spinners and the talent show. The food was delicious, and I highly recommend attending the weekly Caesar's Night. Our waiters, Luis and Marco were great. I would give the resort five stars except that the game room, although functional, and the bowling alley and fitness center, desperately need to be updated. One of the things that stand out in my mind is that, although we were first time visitors, many of the other guests have been coming here for years and absolutely love this place. Villa Roma is located in the beautiful setting of the Catskills with beautiful scenery and surrounding quaint towns. We look forward to our next visit To Villa Roma.

Very outdated

My husband and I stayed here for 1 night, wish we had stayed longer! Hotel was so much fun, most of the staff were friendly with the 1 exception in the 2nd floor bar. The bartender was rude and made an absolutely horrible drink (vodka was horrible), we tried to tell him but he wouldn't even look at us even though there was no one else there besides a co-worker of his. We wanted to go the the sports bar but never made it. The indoor pool was great and the lifeguard on duty was very friendly and informative! Can't wait to go back! We won't let 1 bad employee ruin this review - there is always 1 bad apple in the bunch...

They had rooms available , and now I know why.

Checked in to dirty garments in the bathroom, worst bartender ever, he put a cherry into vodka martini, had to park far enough had to have shuttle ..

Nice for family gatherings bar server was great.

the Hotel room was not cleaned only once while we were there for 5 days no clean towels brought changed out Room was musty and halls smelled. One night it was very noisy we did not get any sleep, toilet was almost on the floor and no grab bars to get up which I had chosen. However the Villa Roma dining was excellent food and service! Parking was inconvient for bringing your bags to the hotel had to walk a ways and No bag cart to carry them. I was not impressed with as much the rooms were for as little as they did to accomdate cleaniness

Pool/hot tub. Conceirge was A++ for suggesstions and directions to Bethel woods.

Windows and door or room didn’t lock securely; parking ao far away and restaraunt was short staffed and closed too early.

Just overall the place has not been touched in 30 years. Price, location all worked but my god that place is falling apart and needs a lot of love.
