Everything about our stay was amazing .. our duty manager Ankit was exceptionally helpful and made sure our stay was as comfortable as possible. The report is very peaceful and the food was great. We will definitely be back

Stayed one night at the Sheraton Maldives as a buffer due to flight timing, so my exposure was limited. At a fraction of the price of the ultra-luxury resorts, it’s a more value-oriented property and delivers very well on that promise. My Deluxe Beach View room was spacious, modern, and ideally situated with a lovely path straight to the lagoon; I much preferred it over my friend’s overwater villa, which felt cramped and exposed. The hard product is very good overall, and service was friendly and easy to reach via WhatsApp. Food was the only letdown and was decidedly mediocre. I never thought I’d say Indian food was “bland.” Reservations must be made before arrival else your options very limited. All in all, a very good choice for a night or two. I wouldn’t fly halfway around the world just for the Sheraton, though.

We really like the place. Everything is topnotch. Like the resort very much. The foods was also very tasty. The view is mesmerising.

Recommended title: A Major Disappointment – Sheraton Full Moon Maldives Does Not Deserve Its 5 Stars We spent 10 nights at this resort from 13.11.2025 to 24.11.2025, choosing Sheraton Full Moon Maldives based on the brand’s reputation and the high ratings on social media and Booking.com. Unfortunately, our experience was deeply disappointing and far below what you would expect from a resort of this level. 1. No special treatment for our honeymoon Although our travel agency clearly mentioned that we were celebrating our honeymoon, we received no special attention at check-in – something very unusual for the Maldives, where attention to detail is normally a standard. 2. The “All Inclusive” concept – only on paper We paid for the All Inclusive package, which in reality turned out to be only 3 meals a day. – Any additional drink was charged extra – At the pool, our orders were repeatedly ignored: for 5 days in a row we asked for a Martini without ice and it was never respected – Cocktail prices are extremely high (15–20 euros each) 3. Absurd restrictions at the restaurants If you didn’t like the food at one restaurant, you were not allowed to go to another one, even though the resort has 5 restaurants. This is an unreasonable and unacceptable rule for a Maldives resort. 4. Poor quality of food and service – Breakfast buffet: very few types of cheese, items were not replenished, and many dishes felt like fast-food – Waiters were extremely slow: you had to ask 4 times for a coffee, and it arrived after 20 minutes – Fruits were served late, with difficulty, and often unripe – Even tipping didn’t help: my husband consistently gave 10 euros to the waiters, but the service remained the same – lack of interest and unprofessional attitude 5. The room was below expectations – We had no soap in the bathroom for 4 days – No mosquito nets (a big minus) – No special touches whatsoever, nothing to justify the price we paid 6. Services improved only after external intervention Only after contacting our manager back home in Moldova and requesting better treatment did we finally meet with the hotel manager. We received slightly better service and access to 2 restaurants, but this improvement lasted a maximum of 3 days. 7. The “free photoshoot” – another big disappointment – Very poor quality – Outdated editing, colors, and style, like something from 2014 – Unprofessional and unattractive photos 8. Hotel location – not presented honestly The resort is located near the airport, and there are ongoing construction works in the area. The view is negatively affected by the construction sites, something that is not clearly mentioned in the official descriptions. We also met other tourists (including a group from Russia) who confirmed the same dissatisfaction: the hotel does not match the price it charges. My conclusion: I do not recommend Sheraton Full Moon Maldives for families with children (no interesting activities), for young people (nothing special), or for couples. We paid a significant amount of money, but the disappointment remains very strong.

We’ve just got back from the Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa and overall we had a really lovely stay, with just a few things that caught us off guard. Arrival & Location The transfer was really easy — a simple 20-minute speedboat ride from Malé. You can actually see Malé from the resort, but we didn’t hear any airport noise at all, so it still felt very peaceful once we arrived. Our Villa We stayed in an Ocean Villa with a private pool. The villa was big and comfortable and kept very clean. A few things looked a little worn, but nothing that bothered us. The only thing we weren’t expecting was that the minibar wasn’t included, even though we were on the all-inclusive plan. Maya, who looked after our room, was honestly amazing. She noticed every tiny detail — at one point she even spotted a fly and called someone to remove it. She also came back in the evenings for a second tidy-up, even though we didn’t really need it, but we appreciated the effort. The outdoor area and the pool were spotless every day. The resort also supplied bikes, which we ended up using a lot because our villa was at the far end of the island. Food & Drinks We chose the all-inclusive option and the food around the resort was consistently very good. The drinks were a bit confusing though. Some beers, wines and cocktails weren’t included, and the minibar wasn’t included either. Oddly, we could take drinks from the main bar back to our villa for free, so the minibar charges felt a bit strange. And just to be clear for anyone else choosing all-inclusive: Sea Salt isn’t included. You get a $45 credit per person, and anything over that is extra. The food there was lovely, but it did feel a bit unexpected, because we assumed the main restaurants would all be part of the package. Restaurants we tried: Feast – buffet, lots of choice Anchorage – great grilled dishes Baan Thai – need to book, but very good Sea Salt – nice seafood, but not fully included Masala Hut – Indian dishes cooked exactly to your liking Kakuni Hut – good Mexican-style snacks during the day We enjoyed every meal we had. Staff The staff really made the stay special. Everyone was friendly, warm and genuinely helpful. A few people who stood out to us were Khadija and Anastacia at Feast/Sea Salt, Ibrahim, Samooh and Azaam at Anchorage, Amrit and Eyman (who always kept us topped up with drinks), Yaish at Masala Hut, and Chef Chamara, who came to check on us personally. Overall It’s a beautiful resort with amazing staff and great food. The only downside for us was that the all-inclusive wasn’t as “all-inclusive” as we expected, especially with the drinks and Sea Salt not being covered. Apart from that, we had a really lovely holiday and would definitely come back, mainly because the staff were so wonderful.

We returned to this hotel after 30 years when we stayed here on our honeymoon. We had a truly fantastic time. The service was absolutely brilliant. From the moment we arrived and were met by our host, Haanee we were exceptionally well looked after. The resort is well maintained, clean and tidy. The food in the restaurants was very good. The ambiance in the main buffet restaurant is a bit lacking but we enjoyed the food in there and it was quick and convenient. The other restaurants are superb. The snorkelling trips and diving experiences were excellent and the team who work from Full Moon were very professional and we felt safe. So why not 5 stars? The choice of wine on the all inclusive package was a bit disappointing especially the rose wine which was very sweet and didn’t reflect the dry, light, blush that is so popular in Europe as a holiday wine. It would have been good to have more bbq/grill options in terms of the restaurants and menus. It was difficult to get grilled fish for example. The Mexican restaurant which is on the beach is a popular place for lunch and the food is good but limited and it got a bit boring, it would have been good if there was a daily special which changed. It also has to be mentioned that the proximity to Male, whilst very convenient does mean that you see lots of planes taking off. In addition, the water bungalows face a service island which is pretty ugly. These things are beyond the control of the hotel management. They have cultivated screen islands which block the view of the Male tower blocks and these are very effective. If you accept that the super quick transfer means that you don’t feel totally “away from it all” then it’s fine. Obviously 30 years ago - this was not a consideration but Male has grown so much in that time. Thank you for a lovely holiday!

As a Marriott Bonvoy Titanium Member, I had the pleasure of staying at Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa, room 403 — Ocean Villa with a private swimming pool. The entire experience was truly memorable. Mirah from Guest Relations was very nice and always helpful, ensuring that everything ran smoothly during my stay. Ms. Niki Saraswati, the Loyalty Manager, was extremely kind and genuinely works with her heart — her attention and warmth made me feel very valued as a loyal guest. Special thanks also to Maya from Housekeeping for keeping my room spotless and comfortable every day — she’s very friendly and attentive. Every staff member I met reflected the resort’s genuine spirit of hospitality. I felt truly cared for, and I can’t wait to return. Highly recommended for anyone seeking both luxury and heartfelt service in the Maldives. 🌅💖

Oct 22-29 This was our third visit to the island. We enjoyed every bit from the arrival to the departure as everything went very smoothly . The Island is well manicured ,lush green serene orchid garden , white clean sandy beaches. There are many choices of restaurants with lots of choice for excellent food .They cater for every dietary requirements. The Diving Centre team were very professional and made my dives very comfortable. Highlight was seeing Manta Rays . All the incredible staff are very professional and welcoming. The attentive staff went out of their way to make sure we were ok Our special thanks to the all the staff and here are some of the names Ali, Sanjeev, Ibrahim from anchorage bar, Maish, Birendra from feast and Uttam Kakuni hut who made us delicious cocktails, Ankit guest co-ordinator and Atheedh who cleaned our room. Our experience was excellent; all the staff were very friendly and helpful at all times. The restaurants are spectacular, and the beaches with their turquoise water look like something out of a movie! One thing they should improve is when you leave the island. We checked out of our room at 5:00 PM, and the boat to the airport didn't leave until 8:00 PM. We would have appreciated being offered water at least. Otherwise, everything was fantastic, and we'll definitely be back!
