San Ignacio Resort Hotel

We had a wonderful stay at San Ignacio Resort Hotel, and the staff made the experience unforgettable. A huge thank you to David, our butler, who was absolutely outstanding. He was always prompt with our requests, made us feel incredibly welcome, and went above and beyond to ensure we had an amazing trip. We truly couldn’t have asked for better service. Israel was fantastic during our private “fish the Mayan way” experience—friendly, knowledgeable, and made the activity a lot of fun. Carlos was also an amazing guide on our cave tours and helped make those adventures memorable. The entire staff was warm, professional, and genuinely dedicated to making our stay special. We highly recommend this resort !

Really enjoyed our 3 night stay! Staff was so friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed breakfast and drinks at the bar, did not try lunch or dinner, but menu looked good. Close to town, but up a steep hill.

My experience at this hotel fulfilled all my expectations! The staff went above and beyond to look after me . My room was beautifully clean comfortable … the location and ambience of this hotel is quite special … definitely worth it ! The on site guides and drivers in particular Santos really made my experience even more special by showing me wildlife I would never have seen otherwise ! Thank you !

For our first trip to Belize we picked the most amazing place. There are not enough words to explain how friendly ,kind, professional all of the workers are . The resort was way more than we expected and was perfect in every way. All of the personnel that was working during our trip in April deserve praise and I can't name them all but now they are all family. David,carmosita,Freddie raised the bar for hotel hospitality that I'm not sure any others resorts can reach. Thanks for the best time

Nice, clean hotel. We stayed in the Jungle View Suite which was very big for the 4 of us but pretty basic. We had a really nice view of the jungle and all the birds right from our outdoor seating area. The staff is very friendly and wanted to make sure the kids had a good experience.

We booked the Jungle room. There were 3 full size beds, 2 in one room and one in another, plus a sofa that could turn into a couch. We had a huge covered balcony with 2 tables each with 4 chairs and a hammock overlooking the jungle. The beds were comfy and the pillows were nice. Great air conditioning and they even had a CO monitor in the room. The shower was great with hot water and the pool was perfect. Breakfast included for 2 so we paid for the kids. They helped us when our airlines lost our bags and lent us towels for the ATM tour. They had mosquito spray we were able to purchase as well. Their tour to Tikal was absolutely amazing as well! Trip of a lifetime well organized and Hugo the guide was 100% perfect.

I didn't love how long breakfast took to make. We had tours to catch and that was tricky. Once we learned we could pre order the day before we were much happier. Wish we would have known that on arrival.

The staff makes the place. They were wonderful, friendly and amazing. For that reason we would return. They were also responsive when the water shut off one night and kindly comped the brunch buffet. The birding was incredible and the young man leading it was inspiring.

Sadly our room was in the sun basement and without the humidifier going smelled moldy. It was also quite costly but we reserved later than we wanted.

We stayed for 5 nights in a deluxe room at San Ignacio Resort Hotel. The staff were super attentive and helpful, the room was very clean (and sheets turned down every day). The pool was lovely and the location was within 5 min walking distance of the centre of San Ignacio even though it felt like we were on the edge of the forest. The hotel was a great base for doing excursions in the area. Breakfast was great in the on-site restaurant.

Had such a lovely stay at San Ignacio Reaort. The atmosphere was peaceful, the room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. It was the perfect mix of relaxation and nature. Definitely coming back soon!
