It was first time and we had a blast

Great Wolf Lodge in Sandusky delivers a memorable family getaway, especially if you’re visiting for the indoor water park. The atmosphere is lively, the staff is consistently friendly, and the resort feels safe thanks to the large number of attentive lifeguards stationed throughout the pools and slides. Families with younger kids will especially appreciate how closely the water areas are monitored. There are a few operational issues that can make the stay less smooth. The newly added gate system at the parking lot, often slows down traffic—particularly during peak check‑in times when cars back up and the process becomes more of a bottleneck than a convenience. The elevators are another issue. They tend to be slow, and during busy times, long waits are almost guaranteed. For a resort with multiple floors and lots of families hauling gear, strollers, and luggage, only having 2 elevators can get frustrating quickly. The time we spent waiting on elevators was ridiculous. There was a ceiling fan in our room, but there was absolutely nothing around to turn the fan on. We used the app to reach out for help, but the only answer we got back was to turn on the air conditioning. I know that the lodge has to make money, but I also feel that every time I turned around there was another gotcha. You are able to buy bubble machines during the dancing every evening, but if you had a 2 or 3 day stay you will run out bubbles. Don’t worry, after spending $25 on the toy they will sell you more bubbles. The parking costs are crazy, just add it into my room charge! Overall, Great Wolf Lodge Sandusky still offers plenty of fun, and the staff and lifeguards do a great job creating a welcoming and safe environment. Just be prepared for some delays and minor inconveniences along the way.

This was our 2nd time going to GWL and both stays have been fantastic.

Very good customer service. Our room needed some updating but was fine for the lower price I paid after redeeming points. Elevator issues caused some delays. All GWL employees are very attentive and helpful.

Amanda was great!!! Just want to say how easy she made check in she made it easy. Not only that made me feel comfortable with putting multiple payments options. She made it work fore and my game of 6. She definitely deserves a raise with how friendly and courteous she was.

Great!! But could be cheaper for how small the water park is !! Smh maybe $100 a night would be decent

Had a great time! This one seems a little smaller and more geared to littler kids than the one in Cincinnati but still a great time.

Art was the first friendly face we saw when we arrived at the lodge. He gave my son some wolf ears and made his whole day!
