Great Wolf Lodge Sandusky

It was ok . Just to high. And not much there. They make it look so big on tv . But when there it’s small.

It so clean and nice very family oriented place. So many free activities and RAE was especially nice and helpful.

We stayed at the Sandusky Ohio location, and Angie (customer service, front desk) was amazing 🤩 and lots of information! When Dunkin’ Donuts 🍩 downstairs says they are opening at 6:30am don’t count on that though! Three mornings they were not even close to being open, even after 7am!

Our stay at Great Wolf Lodge was honestly just okay overall. We spent extra money on the food package expecting it to save us money and make meals easier for the trip, but due to the water main break we ended up having to leave the resort for food multiple times and spend even more money out of pocket. The unlimited refill cups also became basically useless because the drink machines were down, and no alternatives were offered — even something simple like bottled drinks or a 2-liter for families would have helped. What was most concerning was that we were never clearly notified about the water issue before using the room water before brushing teeth and making coffee that morning after breakfast. Most of our meals were at Gitchigoomi, and unfortunately the service there was consistently poor. We had the breakfast package, but every morning we waited a long time just to be acknowledged. On several occasions we sat for 10+ minutes before anyone even brought water. The final morning was especially frustrating — the breakfast was supposed to be unlimited, but there was never enough food for four on the platter. We waited nearly 30 minutes for more potatoes, bacon and sausage after requesting them, no one checked back on us, and eventually we just gave up and left to check out on time. The last night of our stay we also had someone pounding on our door late at night and running off. Thankfully it only happened once, but it definitely added to the stress of the trip. To top things off, half the water park was shut down yesterday because of a fecal accident in the pool. Obviously things happen, but combined with everything else, this just did not end up being the fun family vacation we expected for the amount of money spent.

I came here with my daughters for a little girls trip and we had a blast. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. The Family Fireplace Suite is spacious and very nice. So the the Wolf Pass we were able to get discounts at all the stores which we took full advantage of. The waterpark obviously is the highlight and it did not disappoint. My only negative is I paid a lot for a deluxe cabana and I was stuck right in the middle of all the business of the park. People were constantly peaking in and while we were gone, someone used our cabana to eat and left food on the floor. It was still nice to have a space that was ours but it didn’t feel like that at the same time.

5th year in a row. Kids love it.

I went with my husband and our three kids; ages 8,6 & 5 and all have ASD. We went to Sandusky. We had the cabin room with bunk beds. The kids liked having their own space. Every staff member was so friendly. We enjoyed every minute of our trip!

My husband & I had a great time on our anniversary trip! It was easy to find and park on site. Check in was simple at the kiosks. Signage was clear. It's definitely geared towards families with young kids, so it's a high-energy, kid-friendly environment. It's a bit noisy in the rooms and halls during the day. Not a complaint! Just an observation . Quiet hours were observed from 11pm - 8am. Our room was huge, nice and clean, and cozy. We enjoyed the patio & fireplace. We booked during the April Showers deal, so I'm very happy with the price. The park was a blast! Wristbands made checking in and out, ordering, accessing our room, and parking a very easy. My single complaint - there was very little variety with the food - basically burgers and pizza. And all the food was very expensive for the portions. It was very basic, not super tasty, and had a big price tag. Other than that, we had a great time!
