Great Wolf Lodge Sandusky

Location was great Atmosphere good Rooms were very mid not the best Value for the price it was okay Staff weren’t the friendliest Service was 3/5

Honestly this was our 3rd time coming to GWL. Our past 2 experiences were wonderful, even during Covid. This 3rd time was very disappointing. First, Thursday May 7th there was a horrible rotten egg smell throughout the building everywhere. Staff, which were all very wonderful, kept apologizing. It was actually nauseating. Second, I bought a sloth stuffed animal in the gift shop and it said it was $19.99. Upon getting back to the room I realized the bill stated $22.99. Maybe 3 dollars is not a big deal, but it's principal and I work hard for my money. I went back to the gift shop and they had to call a manager. They wanted to refund my card (and have to wait for the credit), then recharge me for another sloth, instead of just giving me my refund. I just walked out. It shouldn't be that hard when you over charged me to just give me a refund. That was very disappointing! Third, Maybe you don't have control over the Dunkin establishment in your building, but I ordered my daughter a breakfast wrap and it was literally 2.5 inches big. For the money spent, I was honestly ripped off again. Lastly, noise has never been an issue. I understand 11 pm is the cut off. The whole entire night it sounded like the people above us were going to come through the ceiling. We were in room 304. We were at the end of the hallway. Half the night there were people yelling in the hallway. All 5 of us got no rest. We planned to stay the day today, but our girls were so exhausted and asked us to leave at 1230pm. So we didn't even get 24 hrs of fun because our night was miserable. I honestly am very disappointed. If it weren't for you super friendly staff at check in or the staff working in the ice cream shop, I would have given this trip no rating.

This lodge maintains the cozy charm of the original lodges while offering a wide variety of amenities. They even have a Zen Den for individuals needing a calming place to have a break from the non-stop action. We had a great time exploring the lodge and taking part in all of the amenities. Staff were friendly and helpful. The lodge was clean and rooms are spacious and comfortable. We ate at the lodge restaurant to enjoy more time using the lodge amenities. We ordering mozzarella sticks, salads, burgers, nachos, and chicken bowl. Everything was very good. We had a great time!

We had a blast. Somehow my room keys weren’t working until the last night and I contacted the front desk and I was told to come down so they could fix it for me. Then I ended up with 14 keys to my door and they was able to fix that as well.

Three things that need to change Park hours for hotel stay should open at 9 not ten. That give you 2 hours b4 checkout. Changing rooms in the bathroom need to be bigger considering that this is a family oriented facility the stall really can only hold one person . My son and I went to the waterpark after our sleepover and made sure to go back to the room by 10:50 so we could our wet clothes but they locked us out before 11 o'clock check out. They were nice to give us two scoops of ice cream free, two bowling games, and let us back into the room. So let's not lock people out of the rooms unless it's 11. Otherwise, we had a fun time. The atmosphere was great my son very much enjoyed himself. We also went Wednesday Thursday and that seems to be the best day to go value, rooms are cheaper

Room was still dirty upon arrival but it was so late I had no energy to complain. As much as a person pays per night I would expect a fully clean room. Sheets & blanket were questionable but I never sleep with hotel blankets so I’m glad me and my son had our own. Someone’s nasty hoop earrings & chewed on styrofoam cup were left in different areas of our room. I also am pretty upset we paid $40 for parking when I just watched an employee hand two people in line a parking pass the next morning while we were waiting. We paid $20 for parking one night even tho we arrived super late.

We always have a wonderful time!! Jacob was so helpful in the arcade !!! He was amazing!!!! And Michelle in housekeeping was also awesome!!!

Unless you've stayed before you had to stop housekeepers and ask for directions to everything like your room, the bowling and the build a bear. We had to stop and wait to check in at the kiosk that was so confusing we had to wait at the front desk to figure out what to do next. With the wolf pass everything was an upcharge like the build a bear and the wands. The kids had an amazing time but don't think I'll be back.

in the basketball pool with the log i was exiting out using a ladder, the bottom rung spun and i fell and got multiple bruises as pictured below, my father notified the lifeguard who informed us that he knew it was broken, two other people before me had fell and the lifeguard notified the manager. nothing was done so when i fell my father notified both a lifeguard and a manager. other than deep bruises and soreness it was a great trip! i got to watch my nieces have the best time! the food and entertainment was also amazing! gotta give credit to gavin, that kid has to be exhausted at the end of the day the lack of jets in the hot tub was a little disappointing but still relaxing very nice waterpark to take kids to, everything there they can do and parents can relax
