Great Wolf Lodge Sandusky

Check in took forever, we were told the room would be ready by 4, it wasnt ready until 430. We made do, but had a grocery delivery to manage that made things more complex because we didnt have our room yet. The room was fine. Clean and comfortable. It could have used a good carpet cleaning. In general, it was a good enough experience, our toddler had a great time, but I do think there are a few things that could be improved to have a better guest experience. The pool doesnt open until 10 a.m., the magiquest doesnt turn on unti 9 a.m. and when your child gets up at 6, that is a LONG time. I would happily pay extra for early pool admission. There was no family changing room. This made it difficult on our departure day to change everyone efficiently. There were inconsistent application of policy's making it difficult to know what the actual policy was. First time we got towels we were told to take them back to the room and they would get picked up there. Second time we were told they needed to go into a bin in the pool. The third time I was told to bring them back to the desk and check them in when I returned them. The food service was, again inconsistent, we ordered the same thing two days in a row and they were completely different meals. When I asked about it I was made to feel like an idiot. All of this to be said, the pool and general idea is there, it is just missing the last mile of making it a great stay for everyone. These hiccups will not prevent us from coming again, our kid had a great time, it just was a little more stressful for the parents then it needed to be.

It was a super fun time!!! I would definitely go again. But I did get kinda annoyed because they didn’t inform me that they were charging my Cash App card with the holding fee. The guy at the desk only said he was charging the parking fee. And then I get an update on my Cash App that the payment completed and updated to 90.99 instead of giving me my whole $100 back. I hope my money come back on my card within the next day or two or I’m going to be pissed because we didn’t damage the room or anything, so I’m not sure why they would be keeping my deposit.

It was our first time at a Great Wolf Lodge. We stayed at the Sandusky location and were pleased by the cleanliness. We enjoyed the activities provided for the kids and particularly enjoyed the dance party. Our room was clean and ready before 4 PM. Only thing I didn’t like was for the price we still had to pay $20 to park. I think that should be included.

Love going to Great Wolf Lodge, I just wouldn't recommend spending the night they charge for parking if you spend the night, they tell you that they will text you when the room is ready but they never text you. You have to go to the front desk to know what room you're in. They start cleaning your room before you check out. Somehow they threw away my coffee and I didn't even check out of the room yet. Me and my sister booked three rooms and thought they would be next to each other but they were down the hall from each other. They have joining rooms but they can't put you next to your family even if you call ahead. They also say there's no smoking. However, we got a room that smelled like skunk.

Overall we had a good trip but it’s likely in the future we will choose a different park. The toddler area was small and overcrowded and could use some updates. Slides were fun, tube slides had lines but body slides you could go right down. Our room was not ready by 4 as we were told it would be, when it was finally ready we were told our wristbands would open the door but none worked so we had to return to the front desk. We enjoyed the arcade, mini bowling and build a bear workshop. Sofa beds were not great, even two thirteen year old girls could not sleep on it together. They have a lot of activities for the 4-9 age range but the waterpark could use a refresh/expansions, it is small for the number of guest they allow.

Our room was a family room on the first floor. Was not impressed at all. Was told they are the same as the family with a fireplace. Def not the same. Very crowded for a family of six. Otherwise-the only other feedback is for first timers-explanation of the packages would be helpful. Like where to get towels, how to get the credits for bowling,

Love it we come atleast twice a year very toddler friendly great for kids all together! They have extra events they host on top of the water park for free that are amazing we love it here!

Love love loved it, very kid friendly, and baby friendly. Great experience, and great atmosphere. Will be going there again soon!!!

First time visiting spent 2 nights and we are already planning our next trip!! We added several packages to make sure we had plenty to do and we sure did! Next time I probably wouldn't add as many packages as we missed out on lots of other activities but we definitely saved a lot doing it that way. The facility was clean and staff extremely friendly. I was greeted by Catarina upon Monday arrival she was so helpful with the kiosk and directing me to where I needed to go along with lots of other helpful information about the lodge ❤️ we enjoyed trying the different on site restaurants my son had pizza from hungry as a wolf and loved it said it was the best!! For dinner the first night we all got the burger with bbq pork and fried onions it was so good. Next night my husband and I had chicken Alfredo and my son shrimp Alfredo both delicious as well. Both mornings we did the breakfast package and had the family platter very good and they bring as much as you want. We also enjoyed the different attractions they have to offer their arcade has so many different games for kids of all ages and the prizes are pretty nice as well. My son also really liked the magi quest and we loved watching him explore the lodge having fun while doing so. The bowling alley was another fun attraction to do we had the unlimited with our one package and took advantage of some friendly pack competition ❤️ As far as the water part very clean as well , the little shop insides cute and the water hole has some tasty adult drinks while buckets has the tasty kinds drinks. We also liked how the water in the deepest areas was only like 4 ft so we didn't have to worry about any slides and my child panicking when hitting the water and ringing his trip. The lockers and shower rooms were also very clean and nice to have close. I'm sure I've missed lots of details their is just so much to do and so many compliments that could be given to remember.

Room was good. Checking in hectic but wait was about 30 mins. Location was great because everything was near. Clean rooms but stay for 2 days wish house keeping could have came and checked trash. Amenities was fun but waterpark was the highlight. Noisy of course because kids are up and playing any time of the day and night. Went on a Monday and it was still busy.
