Great Wolf Lodge Sandusky

Great Wolf Lodge was a blast!!! Such a clean and family friendly environment. They are focused on the kids and making the experience memorable for them. We appreciated the kind staff and overall the trip was awesome. We will definitely be back!

We love to stay and we came to great I’ve been until we got home and we got sick and went to the doctors and we had an infection a bacterial infection cause by your waters and it literally breaks our hearts I wanted to book another night soon

I had really high hopes for this place, but I don't think any of the workers are on the same page. Upon arrival at the water park, we rented a cabana. For some reason, the cabana reservation wasn't showing up in the system, and I had to go to the front desk to get it figured out, which was very inconvenient after already entering the water park area. When I went back to the towel desk, the woman couldn't give me the safe code (even though the front desk said she would) and asked me to come back in 20 minutes. I never went back because my kids were already upset from having to wait so long. We checked in early so we could go to the water park with our small kids. The lady at the front desk said my wristband would work to open the room whenever I got a text saying my room was ready. It did not work, and I had to go back to the front desk while my kids were crying because they were so tired from the water park. A worker approached my family, who was waiting in front of the locked door, and said the front desk would give us free pizza for our inconvenience. When we went back to the front desk (for the second time), all they could offer was ice cream. Which was nice, but we really wanted pizza since the other worker told the kids we would get pizza. In the morning, our coffee maker broke, and hot water got all over my mother. We came to have a good time but had lots of inconveniences during a very short stay.

They never emptied my garbage r answered my call request.

The room was perfect. We didn’t do much except sleep/get ready in there. We had 2 queen beds & a pull out sofa. My sister and I were both comfortable and we had our 3 kids with us. The atmosphere kept them busy and the value of all of it was reasonable. The kids were able to get refillable drinks for under $20. (which in this economy is great!) This location was super clean and our room was not far from the waterpark, buildabear, & all of the other fun things they offer here. Definitely worth going, even if for the night!

We went to this as a family experience and I had issues at check in and they were not helpful and so rude. I had a few times I just asked questions and the workers were not polite about me asking. My kids loved the games in the evening. For the money spent it was not worth it. There was hair in my shower before I even went in, my toilet was leaking and the light didn’t work on the beds. Overall never coming back.

There was a greeter at the front door. I was just washing windows and helping to make people check in smoothly on the kiosk. This was my first time being there with my four rambunctious kids with me and see you helped to make sure I did my card right and get my bands and then when my bands didn’t work and I needed to go back-and-forth from the front desk three times she saw that I was frustrated and gave my family tokens to go bowling and it was very kind of her to notice and really made all the difference.

This was our first time visiting Great Wolf Lodge. As this was our first time, we had a number of questions. There were softball and baseball tournaments. Therefore it was extremely busy. Amanda took the time necessary to make sure we were comfortable and satisfied. Later we had another question. Again, she took the time to answer our questions. She was very pleasant and a pleasure to deal with. With representatives like her, I am more than likely to stay at Great Wolf Lodge the next time we are in the area.

We've stayed at Great Wolf Lodge Sandusky multiple times over the years, and it remains one of the easiest and most enjoyable family vacations we've found in Ohio. From the moment you arrive, everything is designed with families in mind. The lodge itself is beautiful, with a cozy, rustic atmosphere, and the entire property is always impeccably clean. Even though my oldest daughter is now almost 15, she still gets excited every time we plan a trip and always has an amazing time. The indoor water park is the obvious highlight, but what keeps us coming back is everything beyond the slides and pools. There are daily activities throughout the resort including dance parties, crafts, story time, fitness classes and the interactive MagiQuest adventure. We love that there are no complicated reservations to make ahead of time for most activities. You can simply show up and join in whenever something interests your family. The resort also makes things incredibly convenient. Towels and life jackets are provided, and the RFID wristbands work as both room keys and charge cards, so there's no need to carry wallets or room keys around the water park. My daughter still loves getting her wolf ears at check-in, and little touches like that really add to the experience. Another major plus is that you never have to leave the property. With multiple dining options on-site, including Dunkin, there is something for everyone, and we've found their allergy accommodation policies to be excellent. If you're considering a family getaway in Ohio, I highly recommend staying at least two nights so you have enough time to enjoy both the water park and all the other activities the resort offers. Great Wolf Lodge Sandusky continues to be one of our favorite family destinations year after year. The location is easily accessible to highways and is also close to multiple other tourist destinations, dining and shopping. The rooms are well-removed from the waterpark so little kids can easily sleep with no noise from the waterpark (which wasn't noisy during our visit.)
