Painter's Lodge, Trademark Collection by Wyndham

The view was stunning! It was peaceful and relaxing. Stayed during a heatwave and there was no AC but still worth the view. Loved our ocean view room in the main building. The music played on the patio speakers nightly was so nice!! I sat in my patio until 1am watching the moi light hit the water. Gorgeous!!!

The breakfasts were good however main dining room was not in operation for dinner! Happy hour was good. All though they couldn't make a Martini because they did not stock vermouth?! Very nice new pool and surround with outdoor BBQs. No working ice machines accommodation pods. Had to go to main building to get ice. No AC available! In fairness new owners have been only been in charge a few months but signs of improvements evident. I would say avoid this place for a year and check back then as it potentially could be a 4+.

I was going to give this place two stars but a decent night’s sleep has knocked it up to a three - as that’s all we were really here for. As you drive in to Painters Lodge it looks relatively grand. My wife said it reminded her of the resort in Dirty Dancing. But that’s the era it belongs to. It’s faded and has seen better days. The decor is outdated, inside and out. The rooms are a little odd. The restaurant is really nothing. To write one about. Our TV didn’t work. The staff are nice, shout out to Rupert who very quickly switched our room after the first one was pokey and had the noose of the kitchen fan. When it comes down to it though, the beds were comfy enough, we had enough space in a family room and the price wasn’t that bad. Definitely the least of the places we’ve stayed on this trip, but it was just an overnight and did its job.

This is an older resort that has changed owners and you can tell they making improvements trying to restore it to its former glory. We had a lovely stay and would stay again.

We booked last minute on Expedia and I would say we got a last minute room....overlooking the dumpsters with rat traps. To top it off it was above the non sanctioned smoking area.The pool was packed to the rim with screaming kids. We had to keep the windows closed because of the smoke and noise.There was no air conditioning just a ceiling fan and a non working stationary fan. Both bedside reading lights were burnt out. On the plus, the beds were comfy and the room was clean..front desk staff was lovely.

This property was perfect for our stay. The room design allowed so much space. The ocean view room was breathtaking. Highly recommend.

Together with my wife we unfortunately spent 2 nights in this hotel. They do not have a lift (not a bell boy as well), no air conditioning, no daily room make up if not required (but they do not let you know this detail at the check in) and you can't charge the bill of the bar on yor room. Rooms are not so clean as you could hope and the carpet didn't see some soap since 80's. The bathroom ceilng was dirty too. My strong suggestion is to avoid this place if you can.
