Grand Hotel Llandudno

Total disapointment for my Wifes Birthday, the hotel, supposed `Grand Hotel`once a proud beautiful place, has become a decrepit, tired, worn out building. Internally, weary decoration, worn carpets, no lift to the top floor, water stains on the ceilings! Externally it appears a blot adjacent to the Pier, poor decor, corroding rusted ironwork. The old lido / pool would be an ideal setting for a scene from a World War two blitz, a green algae filled pond, building waste etc. The Grand Hotel no longer lives up to its name, I appreciate the owners would have to spend a huge amount of money to reinstate the whole building to its former glory, though the hotel appeared to be full of elderly residents on organised coach trips. I contacted the Owners and expessed my displeasure and have as yet received no reply!

Old and dated. Definitely needs a massive surge of cash spending on it but staff were pleasant, bedding was clean and water was hot. Evening meal was unimaginative and basic. Evening entertainment was good with a quiz, bingo , show and karaoke - just what we needed on a blustery, rainy evening which was too bad to venture out. We had a good stay, no problem.

We are currently staying at The Grand.we had a big problem with the shower plumbing.this was dealt with quickly and efficiently by the receptionist.Nichola who moved us to another room.This hotel is a wonderful retreat for people like me who remember the days of dressing for dinner and theatre first nights. Can highly recommend.

Fantastic location. Right on the pier. Everything a bit dated but it's a budget hotel!!! You get what you pay for!! We had a sea view room. Probably one of the best hotel bedroom views in Llandudno. Bed was clean and comfy. Coffee machine was like rocket science to operate, so we gave up in the end and i got lots of coffee and tea from reception. Enjoyed relaxing with my coffee and looking at that fantastic view of the Irish Sea.

Absolutely terrible place and also the reception is differential to people .avoid it .

Impressive building. Nothing else. No shower. No room service, had to get toilet rolls from reception. Food was school dinner level.

Check in was 3pm got there got to reception at 10 to 3 wouldn't let us in till 3pm ,room wasn't up to much window looking out to a brick wall ,got up in morning to make a drink kettle didn't work wouldn't stay here again.

We always go in the lounge for Tea/coffee as our 2 dogs are allowed. No coffee…….. coffee machine not been working for last two weeks. Only tea available which I can’t stand

Rooms are old and dated and nowhere to park car for a big hotel chain it was well below standards. Had breakfast one morning and the food looked like it had been over cooked and leftnon the hotnplate for hours and was all dried up

Great that they are upgrading. A little work to do but clean ans comfortable and friendly staff.
