"Brilliant hotel"

10.0

Brilliant hotel! Would definitely stay again. - Check in: We arrived at the hotel around 11am and were in our room by 1:30pm. We were checked in by Victoria, who was lovely! She was very friendly and told us everything we needed to know in regard to the hotel, food times etc. - Room: We booked a private Swim-up room, and it was definitely worth it. We have only previously stayed in one swim up room before this one, and that was in a 5* hotel in Rhodes, and this one is definitely better. The room is spacious, we had 2 singles pushed together to make a double (very comfortable), a sofa bed & a travel cot in our room and still had lots more room. Lots of storage. The bathroom is fab - a walk in shower with a separate bath, toilet & sink. The lights are cool too! (See photo attached). The tv has Netflix, YouTube, and English channels such as BBC and ITV. There is a minibar in the room which includes 2 x Coke, 2 x Fanta lemon, 2 x Fanta orange, 2 x Estrella, 2 x still water, 2 x sparkling water & 2 x crisps. We were half board so these items cost, but they weren’t badly priced. If you’re all inclusive they’re free. Upon arrival to the room we had fresh flowers & on day 3 we were given Cava in an ice bucket! (From my understanding this is only for swim up rooms but I may be wrong) - Food: as I mentioned previously we were half board so we had breakfast & dinner, but had the option to change to breakfast & lunch if we wanted to. Myself, my partner and our son are all quite picky eaters. (I don’t like things like onions which are in a lot of food, I don’t tend to eat meat abroad, my partner doesn’t like any dairy products & our son decides what he likes on the day 😂) but the food at this hotel is hands down one of the best I’ve had in a hotel and we have stayed in many 5* hotels in the past. Food is replaced very quickly when it’s running out. The staff in the restaurant, and in fact in the whole hotel are very friendly. On one night we ate at the Indian restaurant and it was 10/10! - Entertainment: only once we went to the entertainment in the hotel, as we like to go out and explore. We only stayed for the mini disco at 8:30pm, which was just like any mini disco in other hotels. But from what we saw on the entertainment board, it looked good! - Location: the location is perfect. Right across the road there’s multiple shops & bars. Salvator Bar is literally a 2 minute walk and the food is lovely. The beach is around a 10/15 minute walk. - Spa: we had one free visit to the Biomar Spa, which is connected to the hotel next door. We’re not really spa people, but we went anyway & it was nice. Definitely worth going if you enjoy going to the spa. - Pools: there’s an adults only pool which we didn’t use as we have a toddler, but whenever we passed it looked relaxing & quiet. We didn’t use the main pool either as we had the swim up, but when using the splash pool there was always sunbeds available no matter the time of day. The splash pool is great too. The hotel is in a sort of complex with other Protur hotels. In the surrounding area there is: - mini golf - driving range - splash park - Protur farm - multiple parks - water park All free or low cost to Protur guests. We rented a car from Protur Cars for one day, and it was a smooth process. Once again, Victoria was extremely helpful with this. All we had to do was give driving license & passport details and pay the cost of the car for the day. No deposit & no excess. Pick up and drop off next to the club house 5 minute walk from the hotel. Overall, we will definitely be returning to this hotel. It is immaculate & one of the best hotels we’ve stayed in. We have been abroad 5 times since June 2024, 3 of those hotels being 5* and this one is hands down the best of them all. I personally feel like this hotel deserves 5 stars and I think the only reason they don’t have 5 stars is because there’s not a shop or waterpark on site, but I’d take a clean room and nice food over a shop on site when there’s one right outside the hotel doors anyway!

Das Essen war ok, aber die Qualität hätte etwas besser sein können. Das Fleisch war leider oft zäh und zum Beispiel die Tomaten zu grün. Das Personal und der Service hätte auch etwas rücksichtsvoller und freundlicher sein können

Hotel is very big, nice, clean. Parking is easy to find and I also had access to an underground parking. My room was very clean and spacious. Breakfast was included, it was good but same options everyday. Many chairs are available at the pools. There's a pool for adults only (16+ years old) . 10€ deposit to get a pool towel. The pools could be cleaned more often. Ambiance is calm and relaxing which is what I prefer. I would've enjoyed a bit a music. The staff is welcoming, nice and friendly. Check-in and check-out were fast and simple. A lot of good restaurants around, espacially in S'illot and Cala Millor. Sa Coma beach is a few minutes walk. Cala Millor beach is a 5 min drive.

"Protur sa coma playa hotel and spa"

8.0

Had a great time at the hotel food was great, especially the pool bar food and drinks selection was also great. Indian restaurant that they offer out of the 4 restaurants was brilliant. However when we visited the Italian it was a massive let down. Couldn’t eat the food it was quite vile. Bar staff are absolutely amazing, especially Jeremy, Mike and Juan. Amazing, Very friendly on arrival every night and during the day at the pool bar. Always going the extra mile to make sure you’re happy. Restaurant staff found could be rude, not all but some. Incident where we ordered some drinks as we were not all inclusive and one of the waiters threw the bill on our table and walked off, other than that most of the staff were very polite and friendly. We stayed in a shared pool room which was lovely but is a massive sun trap and there is no shaded area and the flooring we found was burning our feet on so parasols would be a useful addition if you don’t want to always sit in the sun, as the only other option would be go in your room. Besides that the rooms were very clean, modern and very comfortable. Adult pool is was lovely very quiet and peaceful during the day. Entertainment at night was great. Would definitely book this hotel again!

"Exceptional"

Vorbei an vielen Einkaufsgelegenheiten.

"Fantastic"

10.0

Fantastic family holiday. We stayed here for a week half board and couldn't fault it at all. We have just booked again for next year but for two weeks. We feel there was so much we didn't get chance to do. The staff in all areas are so hard working and accommodating. The hotel is immaculate, and we had no complaints with the hotel facilities. The pool area is great and like everyone says, enough beds to go around! We enjoyed all the food on offer and the location of the hotel was great. We had tje best holiday creating wonderful memories ❤️

"Clean, comfortable and welcoming"

8.0

We travelled as a group of 9 and were pleased with our choice of hotel. The rooms are comfortable, clean and tastefully decorated. We had a room with a view of the adult pool and had full sun for most of the day, which was great. The family pool looked extremely busy, but we chose to spend our time around the adult pool which had a quiet, relaxing atmosphere. There was no rush for sunbeds in the mornings, with plenty of free beds available at any point during the day. Drinks were very reasonably priced and the service from the barman (Blanes) at the pool bar was exceptional. Our drinks were carried over to our sunbeds and nothing was too much trouble. Location within Sa Coma is good - a short walk to the beach with bars, restaurants and shops dotted along the way. The distance from the airport, however, is quite far (75 minutes); this is on top of a nearly 90 minute wait on the Tui bus at the airport for all passengers to get on board; this meant that it took us longer to get from the airport to the hotel than it did for us to fly from Manchester to Palma. A private transfer would be essential next time. Food was delicious with plenty of choice. We took heed of previous reviews and went for dinner after 8:30pm as it was quieter due to the children’s entertainment having started. Unfortunately the dining hall felt like a canteen, with no atmosphere at all. There is limited outdoor seating, but this is surrounded by a fence/hedge with no view at all and is also covered by a pergola, so it doesn’t actually feel like you are outside. Also, there are other restaurants within the hotel, but you need to book a table. We were informed on our arrival that as we were only staying for 3 nights (and also because we were a group of 9) we would not be able to secure a reservation. This was very disappointing; there should be some sort of system where all guests are guaranteed at least one reservation per stay. Apart from these few issues, the hotel was great and we can see how it is so popular with young families.

"Great family holiday in an excellent location"

10.0

We stayed as a family with children from 1 through to 8 for 11 nights. The surrounding area is great, lots of amenities, close to a huge supermarket with everything you’d need. Beach is very good, soft sand and shallow for the kids. Some key positive points - - loads of sunbeds, no morning rush - food choices were very good and excellent quality for large scale catering - kids pool is nice as it’s shallow and they can easily get in and out plus kids club is a nice addition - the team there were great. - all inclusive drinks were excellent, rare to get an actual cocktail made and not just poured out of a pre mix. - staff were brilliant, very accommodating and hard working - having your drinks orders taken in the evening was a nice treat - all very clean and well maintained hotel - access to free bike hire and mini golf was a great addition Feedback - - bed sheets weren’t changed very often and room cleaning wasn’t the best we’ve had before. Granted we didn’t ask for this so the hotel may have done it upon request. - pool bar floor was very slippy, could do with an extended slip mat or the same grip tiles used around the pool. - the toilet doors at the pool were translucent so you could see more than you’d want, seems like it would be easy to put som solid doors on. Overall though, super holiday!

"Average/doesn’t live up to the reviews!"

6.0

I wanted to post an open and honest review as prior to our trip, this hotels reviews were all very positive. Unfortunately, we were left disappointed with our 10 night stay. Starting with arrival : Prior to booking we contacted TUI to let the hotel know of any special requirements. Upon arrival, no reception drinks and we immediately noticed that the hotel does not have good air con anywhere. We had 2 rooms booked between us as a family of 6 (3 and 3) we had requested at least one of the rooms as a ground floor due to a medical/disability issue with a member of our party. Neither of the rooms were allocated a ground floor. The themed restaurant booking was not explained meaning that we could not get booked into the Indian or Italian restaurant during our 10 night stay. Whilst on the subject of themed restaurants, our 8 year old said the Asian reminded her of school dinners whilst we ate there with freezing cold dishes left to help yourself from. Food : The food was very basic, not an edible vegetable for 10 days, poor selection of meats. The highlighted area of the buffet ‘kids and pizza section’ contained Pizza only. Rooms : We had one double room and one twin room booked between our party. Our twin room was tiny, for 2 adults and one child you couldn’t get moved! There was limited storage for clothes and lack of hangers. Pool : First and foremost, the female lifeguard needs to be commended for her fantastic work, she was great, very attentive and always walking round the pool. Pool was busy but nothing you wouldn’t expect at this time of year. I didn’t see one person check the pool levels nor did I see anyone cleaning the pool in the time we were here. We were up at 6:30 most days and still didn’t see anyone maintaining the main pool. My little one contracted hand, foot and mouth and was quite poorly for a few days which I’m positive was picked up from the pool/splash park area as from forums on Facebook it was stated that it was going around. One positive is — there is no rush for sunbeds, always some available. We felt compared to other hotels there was a lack of interaction from the animation team, couldn’t tell you their names or what activities were going on apart from Aqua Gym everyday. Conclusion - We wouldn’t return again, we love Mallorca and have stayed at various different hotels however this has to be the worst one for value for money.
