Sol Torremolinos - Don Pablo

Firstly, the hotel is absolutely stunning. It’s well looked after and staff work so hard to maintain the standards and cleanliness & this shows. The grounds are beautiful both inside and out. The rooms are clean & the cleaners do a great job every day, replacing towels, replenishing etc. The cleaners are friendly, as are all staff in the hotel - they all made a fuss of our children and were very welcoming & approachable The pools areas are great, again, well maintained & cleaned. There are plenty of sunbeds. The downside was we were with elderly grandparents & we couldn’t put our umbrellas up due to the wind which is understandable due to health & safety but I feel they need to invest in some new ones as they were all broken & unscrewed which was causing the whole situation to be a lot worse. Also, there seems to be a lot of adult entertainment going off in the day in the kids pool (aqua aerobics etc) which then causes a problem as our children couldn’t use the pool for up to two hours in the morning whilst they were finished. There is a smaller pool they could use don’t get me wrong - but this then became busy with more adults who didn’t want to join in the with the classes so it would then be chaotic & our children didn’t like it. We stayed here bed & breakfast & if we were to return we would probably do all inclusive. The sole reason being the drinks - we were paying €8 a cocktail for watered down all inclusive, €5 for a beer the same.. It just didn’t seem right they are asking for a lot of money for not very good drinks. In fact most of the time we just went to the shop & brought our own!! Breakfast - just a standard breakfast, it was very clean again & the food was all fresh just very repetitive. The omelettes were a great bonus though we really enjoyed these as they are cooked fresh in front of you & same with the pancakes, our children loved these!!! The kids disco was rather disappointing. We have been to many all inclusive hotels & found much better kids entertainment. There just didn’t seem to be much effort to keep the kids entertained & involved unfortunately. The staff were lovely though I just feel they need to look at a new structure to make it better that’s all. We didn’t access kids clubs so can’t comment on this. The location is amazing!! Right in the middle of everything & super close to the beach which was beautiful too!! Overall we did enjoy our stay & would consider returning. However, we would do all inclusive next time if we did. We would 100000% come back to torremolinos it’s just whether we would come here or choose another hotel. The staff have been amazing & nothing is ever too much trouble - the bar drinks & kids entertainment were just a let down for us.

The Don pablo is in a prime location, the hotel is beautiful, very clean, the entertainment was fantastic, I visited this hotel last October too, I can honestly say the food this time wasn't as good, first three days we had a great variety of English food, and it was only lukewarm, the evening meal was well under temperature, if I had known I would have only booked bed & breakfast. Apart from the food issues everything was fine

On first impression this is a lovely, bright and large hotel. Check in was quick but our room wasn’t ready due to someone not checking out on time so we had to come back a few hours later for our key. Luckily we could quickly change and use the pool in the meantime. Our room was bright, spacious for a family of 3. We paid for a side sea view which we definitely got. The negatives: The bathroom had obviously had a leak from the floor above and there was fungus growing out the ceiling. Which is a shame because the shower was fab. We didn’t realise a side sea view room overlooked the bar and evening entertainment so we ended up not sleeping until after midnight as the music is so loud. We could have requested a change but we paid for the view. The pool was great, quite big and lots of activities on if that’s your thing. We never had a problem getting a lounger after breakfast, though people do put towels down from 7:30. The bars had a great range of drinks, evening entertainment had something for everyone and the whole place had a family atmosphere. The food was nice, bit repetitive and sometimes a bit cold but it all tasted nice. Our only downside was a lot of it looked like it needed fixed. There was a leak in the roof of the sports bar the whole time we were there with just a bucket and a wet floor sign. Overall we had a really nice holiday and would definitely stay again. The staff really were lovely, it definitely helps if you learn a few Spanish phrases!!

Had a fantastic week at Son Pablo. Very modern hotel with a chilled vibe. Good variety of food. Beautiful location with sea views - we stayed in a junior suite! Lots of bars and restaurants along the promenade, which is directly outside of the hotel gates. Please note that children aren't allowed water guns or inflatables in any of the swimming pools.

Was worried about building work, but must be finished as everything was fine.No problem with getting sun beds and this was in the height of the season.Lovely breakfasts especially the freshly cooked omelettes.Enjoyed the fact you can you the facilities of the 3 hotels.Spotlessly clean and staff pleasant and polite.Looking at booking for longer next summer.All in all a great hotel.

At the Don Pablo on holiday just now. Beautiful hotel, lovely staff, excellent food. Always able to get a sunbed, have not experienced any issues with sunbeds as reported in other reviews. 6th time here and will definitely come back.

Paid just short of £1000 (plus flights) for a 4 night relaxing break here to be put in a room next to a building site, woken up at 0715 by hammering! We could not even sit on the balcony! These rooms should never have been on sale until the building work is finished. The hotel itself was lovely with a seafront location and staff were friendly. We were half board and the food was lovely with plenty of choice although you had to buy water to have with evening meal! Plenty of sunbeds around the 3 pools. We would return to Torremolinos but not this hotel. We filled in a questionnaire when we left and the hotel basically thanked us for filling in the survey but tough about the building work it wasn't their fault!!

Nice hotel, entertainment was top, breakfast was nice. Location is next to the beach. Not far from the airport yet central. Staffs are helpful. Overall a plesant experience.
