Commercial Hay Hotel

We wanted somewhere to rest for the night before continuing our journey. The staff were helpful to accommodate our late check in.

The plumbing and hot water was absolutely the worst ive experienced. We were tired and wsnted to shower. The wayer pressure was non existent. Then the hot wsyer ran out after 1 shower.

This place has potential but we must have got the bad couple of days. The guests were unruly with loud voices after 1:30pm (right next door) walking around balcony and banging doors. At breakfast one young person put a teaspoon into the Nutella, ate it then "double dipped" and got a second spoonful (yuck)! Another young person put their hand into the cereal, took out a handful and ate out of their hand. One person emptied the fruit juice into their Yeti OMG just bad manners and grots!! The breakfast set up was sensational CREDIT to the managers. The carpets upstairs need to be ripped up, there was a huge rip beside bed causing me to trip and overall the carpets near the stairwell are stained and feel grotty.

No reception, key safe only. Obviously trying hard to restore the old hotel and will one day be beautiful. Small details like taps held in by silastic and floor coverings not meeting and not flat let the room down.

Average quality. Found broken tap in the toilet and door bottom broken.

Room with a balcony = door that allows access to the entire balcony of the building. Not private. I had to go to the hotel next door to get advice on how to check in as no one was there at 3pm. Number on door went straight to voice mail. Breakfast only available between 8-10am. Noisy from the trucks and the fact the door to the balcony didn't shut properly.

Very small and old room. But very reasonably priced and clean.

Unmanned checkin, no AC controller. Room was so small barely fit two single beds. No way to get Water into kettle. The Bathroom was nice tho, very spacious, modern and clean. Beds were very comfortable.

Tv remote didn't work. Had a family room and only had 1 coffee cup, no glasses. Lock on door didn't work properly. Only had very small amount of toilet paper. Beds were comfortable
