The Watermill Hotel, Sure Hotel Collection by Best Western

My stay at the Wateemill was very pleasant and my room (I booked superior) was really lovely, comfortable and very quiet. Unfortunately, the outside of the building lets it down and my initial thought on arrival was that I’d made a bad mistake however it’s a great place to stay, and felt very safe. The pub over the road (The White Horse) offers a fab menu choice and has a great atmosphere. Plus guests from Watermill get 10% off! Alesha who was on reception was absolutely amazing and so very helpful, she really made every guest feel welcome. My only main complaint would be the pressure of the water in the shower… Would I stay again?? yes definitely.

Even we’ve checked in after 10:30 pm a lady in the reception was very nice and took us to the room. The room was quite old and basic but it was fine for sleep and having a shower.

The hotel os very old and in desperate need of refurbishment and i am not sure if the value was appropriate for the level of service we received.

The water running under the hotel was lovely

The whole motel had a very damp musty smell about it probably due to the fact it was built over a river. The shower head was loose and dropped and we had to jury rig a method to keep it up whilst showering. Many of the power outlets didn't work.

Friendly service from Shawn and all the staff. Room overlooking the brook. Idyllic terrasse and hearty English breakfast.

This was my 4th stay at the Watermill hotel . As usual my room was great. Clean & fresh with a very comfortable bed. Very peaceful & pleasant surroundings. Management & staff friendly & attentive. Definitely recommend. In fact booking again for next week. Thanks again Peter B Manchester

Dated hotel. Needs a decent spruce up.

Lovely stay, staff friendly and welcoming. Good knowledge of area and gave good advice on local walks. 10% off voucher given for pub across the road, which was excellent, and breakfast was lovely. Nothing too much trouble for staff and even had our case taken to our room (first time in a long time).
