Terrible experience, unlikely to stay here again. Room service never answered, rang 8 times, rang reception who said the bar will call me back and never did. Ended up ordering through just eat. What is the point of having room service if it is this difficult to get some food? Check out was just as bad, staff never on the desk had to wait for someone to show up, no smile, no questions. Hospitality does not exist in this hotel!
Used hotel to visit UK national cycling championships.
Friendly and helpful staff with excellent service. Mattress wasn’t very comfortable & shower curtain had seen better days. Overall, we’d go back if in the area again.

Staff are great but the room was disappointing, we stopped in a room for a disabled person I’m over 6” so it was not easy using the wash basin, one of the mattresses (two singles joined to make a double) was trashed, the mattress has collapsed and springs made an appearance !
This is a tired, dirty hotel with some staff that do not understand customer service. The receptionist however was very helpful sorting out an additional bed in our room as I booked a room with 2 x double beds but this hotel apparently does not have rooms like this. Will not be returning to this hotel.
Spot on Staff really polite and reasonably priced food
The room was clean but ordered a kingsize bed and only got a single after been put into a double room rather than twin first off. The shower water was cold and never heated up and was very expensive for a basic hotel
Disappointed overall with the visit. We had to complain about a couple of things whilst there, although the staff were really good in dealing with our complaints and resolving them quickly. I couldn’t fault the staff and their customer service was really good. It was a shame we had to complain in the rust place though. Our complaints were relative to the room cleanliness and food.
