The Windsor Hotel

The Hotel itself need to be managed much better in terms of cleaning and maintenance of the general areas. The bedroom and bathroom was clean and comfortable. The bar fridge only operates when the key card is in the slot in the room so when you leave the fridge goes out and gets mouldy and smelly. Some electrical sockets did not work and others crackle when in use.

Tired property with terrible customer service. Never stay here. Everything is broken, including our balcony door, shower door, shower faucet, outlets, elevator, breakfast room. The indoor pool and hot tub have not worked in years. Expedia should ban this hotel from their site.

It is a cosy place but the breakfast was a literal car crash … during my whole stay there was a school trip and there was never food left for breakfast, constantly something wasmissing - relaxing breakfast? No! A pity that the hotel staff didn’t worry about any other guest and their comfort!! Very disappointing!

I stayed here for three nights, the staff aren’t helpful, the lift was broken, the advertised jacuzzi and sauna did not work

Hotel did not answer their phone or emails, so could not get confirmation that arrival after midnight was ok, so opted for not going there, with the chance of standing on the street in the middle of the night.

What I expected. Nothing stood out in any way. Compared to other properties it is probably not the worst value for money, pretty basic but clean and conveniently located. There is some renovation observed so hopefully the overall quality improves. As of today, Windsor is basically a run down hotel that had it prime days decades ago. Everything lacks atmosphere, and taste (frankly). Speaking of which, breakfast was good for the money but pretty sure it would miss more options if I had to stay for a week. Not a single TV channel worked, maybe that can be fixed when brought up to receiption but who bothers at midnight. Not that I wanted to, because the remote looked just gross. Maybe consider getting ultrasonic cleaners to make it more appealing, or replace the unit altogether.

I stayed for 6 nights and didn't have any hot water for all nights. I complained to reception 4 times, who kept telling me they fixed it and to give it time.

NEEDED SOMEWHERE QUIET AS MY OWN HOTEL WAS FILLED WITH NEW YEARS REVELLERS THIS HOTEL WAS PERFECT FOR A NIGHTS BREAK AWAY FROM THE NOISE. I HAD UNINTERUPTED SLEEP ON A GOOD QUALITY BED.

Excellent location, breakfast a bit hit and miss, very friendly staff. Needs a bit of a refurbishment, but i understand the financial issues they will have had during covid lockdowns.
